After a lifetime of extraordinary bathing experiences, I’m often asked, What’s your favorite sweat? It’s usually a tough question, but not today. Recently, in Staryi Sambir, Ukraine, I experienced a sweat that will stay with me forever. On behalf of Sauna Aid, we had just delivered a wood-fired sauna to a youth sports center. After watching a spirited volleyball tournament, I joined a group of young athletes in a sauna generously donated by the Therme Group. What made this moment unforgettable wasn’t just the heat or the steam—it was the strength of those young girls. Many had fathers and brothers fighting on the front lines, yet inside that sauna, they showed what true courage looks like. They set aside their fears and anxieties, facing the harsh reality of war with resilience and grace. I was humbled and inspired by their bravery. It was a powerful reminder of the strength of the human spirit, even in the face of unimaginable challenges.
