This week, I had the honour of delivering an educational talk on bullying at Woodlands International College for the wonderful Grade 1-4 learners. It was a joy to share insights and foster kindness among such bright and caring hearts.

A huge thank you to .int.college for hosting and to all the incredible kiddos who made the experience so special. Together, we’re creating a kinder, more understanding world—one conversation at a time. 💙✨

Through play, kids learn critical life skills that shape who they become. They develop self-regulation as they take turns and manage their emotions. Creativity blossoms as they imagine new worlds and scenarios. When conflicts arise, they practice conflict resolution and communication, learning how to express their needs and listen to others.

Teamwork comes into play as they collaborate on shared goals, and movement helps them grow stronger and more coordinated. As they follow rules in games, they learn structure and discipline. Problem-solving skills are honed as they navigate challenges and find solutions.

Play is more than just fun for children—it’s essential for their development. 🌟

Men’s mental health is just as important as physical health, yet it often goes unspoken. 🤐
It's time to break the stigma and encourage open conversations. Recognizing and addressing mental health challenges in men can lead to healthier, happier lives and stronger communities. Let’s support one another and ensure that everyone feels empowered to seek help when needed.

Men's mental health is a crucial, yet often overlooked, aspect of overall well-being.
It's essential to break the stigma and encourage open conversations about the challenges men face. By raising awareness and supporting each other, we can create a culture where seeking help is seen as a strength, not a weakness.

Let's prioritize mental health for everyone. 🤝

Release to Thrive 🎈

For true mental and physical well-being, it’s essential to release the burdens that weigh us down. Let go of the need to please everyone, the pursuit of perfection, and unrealistic expectations of yourself. These pressures can lead to unnecessary stress and anxiety.

Embrace self-compassion, focus on progress over perfection, and prioritize your own peace. Your well-being is worth it. 🏵️

Even on days when your energy, feelings, and performance fluctuate, your worth remains constant. It’s a reminder that our value isn’t tied to productivity or mood, but to our inherent uniqueness and strength. 👁️

Keep pushing forward, knowing that you are always enough. 💪🏻

There are 6 different Stages of Play 🚀:

1. Unoccupied Play (0-3 months)
When baby is making movements with their arms, legs, hands, feet, etc. They are learning about and discovering how their body moves and the world around them.

2. Solitary Play (0-2 years)
When a child plays alone and are not interested in playing with others quite yet.

3. Spectator/Onlooker Behaviour (2 years)
When a child watches and observes other children playing but will not play with them.

4. Parallel Play (2+ years)
When a child plays alongside or near to others but does not play with them.

5. Associate Play (3-4 years)
When a child starts to interact with others during play, but there is not much cooperation required. For example, kids playing on the playground but doing different things.

6. Cooperative Play (4+ years)
When a child plays with others and has interest in both the activity and other children involved in playing.

Confidentiality in Play-Based Counselling🛡️

In play-based counselling, your child’s wellbeing is my top priority. Everything they share in their sessions is kept confidential to create a safe and trusting environment. However, there are some important limits:

1. Someone is hurting them.
2. They want to hurt someone.
3. They want to hurt themselves.
4. They give me permission to share.

Your child’s safety is paramount.
Always feel free to ask about my confidentiality policy! 💬
