150 million hot dogs will be eaten today.

To put it into perspective, that’s enough hot dogs to stretch from Washington, D.C., to Los Angeles more than five times.

A cocktail of mechanically separated poultry, corn syrup, sodium nitrite, and artificial flavor; ultra-processed ingredients linked to inflammation, metabolic dysfunction, and increased cancer risk.

Add in a few sodas, chips fried in seed oils, a side of macaroni salad, and you’re looking at 4,400 calories in a single afternoon, most of it stripped of nutrients, hijacking your blood sugar, and feeding the conditions that plague this country.

You can still grill, just upgrade what’s on your plate. Opt for a grass-fed burger wrapped in lettuce, grill up some colorful veggies, and swap the soda for sparkling water with lime or fresh berries.
You can still gather.
You can still laugh, love, and make memories.

There’s nothing “free” about eating food that hijacks your brain chemistry.

Choose freedom from cravings, blood sugar crashes, and chronic disease. That’s the kind of liberty worth fighting for.

According to the US Surgeon General, teens are averaging 9 hours online each day (outside of school)!!!
Kids spending more than 3 hours are 2xs as likely to struggle with Depression & Anxiety.
This is scary! Parents~please model behavior that involves stepping away from technology & do your best to get those sweet, precious kiddos of yours off their devices & outside.
Clearly, you’re plugged in now, or you wouldn’t be seeing this. It’s the endless scrolling and taking your phone with you everywhere, looking at it while sharing lunch with your friend, 500 funny cat videos
.Put it awayyyyyyyy. And then take a deep breath. It get’s easier every time you do it.
Here’s another shocker~ the avg person checks their phone 150xs every day! If every check resulted in just one minute of disrtraction (yeah, right🙄), that would be about 2.5hrs wasted every day. Byeeeeeeee, I’m headed outside😎
Oh wait, one more thing~
I’m offering outdoor Yoga at Mapleton Barn on a few Tuedsday evenings over the Summer. I would love to see you! Classes are $15 and family members can attend for $10. It’s always a highlight of the Summer for me.
