The Self-Advocacy Association of NYS (SANYS) is a grassroots organization run by and for people with developmental disabilities, speaking up for ourselves and others. User Guidelines for SANYS pages:

The purpose of SANYS pages is to share information, education, and encouragement. Content Types to Share:
 Links to self advocacy or disability related articles or events
 Self-advocacy events and news announcements
 Photos and Videos – both from your organization and from other sources
 Motivational/Powerful Quotes or Quote Graphics
 Ask questions for followers to answer
 Self-advocate or community member submissions (questions, stories, etc.) Content types not to share:
• Offensive or insulting language
• Political content (such as support or opposition to candidates for public office)
• Promotion and sales.
• Outside fundraising events

Please be aware that all posts are reviewed by SANYS for approval. If it is deemed inappropriate it will be shared. Facebook will never be used to address or resolve conflicts among members of the organization. If you have a conflict, call and speak to the person directly. Do not address it or respond on Facebook. Any inappropriate or destructive post to a group will be removed without explanation. If a group member continues to post inappropriately or destructively, they will be removed from the group and blocked.

•8-week paid remote internship, with 1-3 optional in-person opportunities
