Today there was a question from a school friend about how can we release our past trauma. (Long but informative post alert!)
Here is my response. as per my understanding from my life journey.
Great question. the whole idea of human life is to release from all feelings associated to such memories... Will try to put my learnings on my path to heal myself.
It is called *Bhav Sagar* in Sanskrit, that is ocean of feelings.
The feelings arise from the *Thoughts* just as in this example a reminder of situations, these situations are engraved on our on *Mind* as hidden visual *ChitraGupt* (the one who settles the karmic account), this can have sound (surrounding noise, voices of people), taste - in case something was being consumed in the moment and feelings ( how you felt in the moment) and all this is bound by the emotions in that moment.
For eg: you can easily cry or laugh, experience the same emotion just by remebering the situations. So there are techniques Like, *Inner child healing, Neuro-Linguistic programming, Emotional freedom technique* using them we can reach the memory zone in sub-conscious and experience the emotions in the situation completely, not suppressing it at all. Check the learning the event, people and situation had to offer then, there is always a need of some emotional resource in that and tools help us provide the resource to the inner child (your past self). Now this situation is healed partially or completely depending on if the associated emotions are now completely released or still remaining.
One thing for sure, the impact of situation is very less as compared to earlier. Goes without saying, it may heal in one moment or take time, so no judgement to oneself and healing, be present that its come a level up in healing yourself.
*Why is it important to heal?*
To sail out of this *Bhav Sagar*.
The emotions create our destiny, example, if i feel sad now, the next moment is going to be sad. moment by moment the destiny is getting created of sadness. the seed of sadness on Mind is so much now, that huge tree of sadness is created and bears fruits of sadness. Our Mind is tool that creates life situations on the basis of this tree. ( As you sow so shall you reap: the proverb is for the Mind) Sow what you need, but then the weeds of old emotions have to be removed to harvest a new life.
I often say in my session, we are like soda bottle, the situations happen to whirl the suppressed emotions and throw up to create space for the new to enter. However, here intention is very very important. When the intention is to just release emotions, then it works in your favour. But, if its to hurt or create some imbalance in other then , same happens back to you multi fold. (The theory of Karma)
*Is there a permanent healing?*
Yes indeed, when the kundalini arises and *Mano-nasa*, Mind dies before you die (Self - realisation, enlightenment) happens. Until then, we work consciously to release suppressed emotions then it is called *Mano-laya* , Mind submerges part by part until ultimate death of Mind occurs. using the techniques.
*Reiki* is a subtle way to heal from this emotional ocean, *Bhav sagar*
So the idea is to erase the sim *MIND* memory before death, else it is just changing mobile *Birth-Death* cycle, living same emotions, attracting same stations/people/event sub-merging even more then facing depression, same-same cycle.
*Wound is yours, healing is also your*
You as human are here to heal from these.
*Does it impact our progenies?*
Indeed, they are part of us, carrying same data. So emotional healing is the best gift one can give to the next generation. for eg: Suppressed anger cause Cancer, and it is genetic so definitely when you heal from this suppression, your next gen and surrounding heals. As you attract your frequencies all around and energy flows from higher concentration to lower. So if you heal, you are moving to higher frequencies, causing change in surrounding now (the reason why saints presence creates peace in self)
Last but not the least, its the purpose of human life to heal from emotions.
*How?*
Energy flows where attention goes.
Focus on healing self from emotions in life.
