DearYou App - Health starts with you

DearYou App - Health starts with you The DearYou app helps women build healthy habits through breast self-exams, period tracking, and wellbeing tools.

Regular breast self-exams are important.

By checking regularly, you become familiar with your body, which makes it easier to notice any unusual changes early.

Tip: Write down your observations in a journal. This helps you track changes over time and know exactly what to look out for during your next self-check.

Make breast self-exams part of your routine — because your health starts with you. 💗

Breast cancer affects women in every part of the world — and access to information, early detection, and support can make a real difference. In Ethiopia, Bridge The Gap Ethiopia (BTG) works closely with communities to raise awareness about breast cancer and to strengthen understanding of breast health. 🎗️

Through trainings, awareness activities, and community-led initiatives, BTG creates spaces where women can learn, ask questions, and support one another. A key part of this work is the establishment of Ethiopia’s first Breast Cancer Patient Psychosocial Support Group, offering connection, shared experiences, and emotional support beyond medical care.

By focusing on education, openness, and community, BTG contributes to earlier awareness and a more supportive environment for women affected by breast cancer.

Because informed communities can help change outcomes. 💗

Menstruation is a global reality, experienced in many different ways. 🌍

Across the world, cultural traditions, access to resources, and social structures shape how menstruation is understood and lived.
For some, it is a normal part of daily life. For others, it comes with silence, limitations, or a lack of access to safe products.

This post aims to create awareness and understanding. ✨

Sometimes progress doesn’t look loud or dramatic.
At BALCO Medical Centre it looks like focused faces, shared knowledge, and hands learning how to care.💗

When healthcare professionals learn with the intention of teaching others, the impact reaches far beyond the room. Education becomes empowerment, and empowerment becomes early detection, access, and hope — where it’s needed most.

Real change happens when knowledge stays close to the community and grows from within. 🌱

Empowering women means educating them about what matters for their health. 🌱

That’s why our DearYou Ambassadors work every day to educate and empower women around the world—wherever they are—by sharing essential information about breast health.

As breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women, every woman has the right to know how to stay aware and how to properly perform a self-exam.
Because we don’t just believe it—science proves it: early detection saves lives. 💗

At the National Institute of Technology Raipur, we saw how powerful it can be when women are given room to listen, learn, and connect. The atmosphere was filled with openness and courage as students and staff wives explored a topic many rarely get the chance to talk about.

This event was more than information — it was a reminder that awareness begins with safe spaces, and that empowered women take charge of their health.

NIT Raipur created exactly that. 💗

More than 2,500 participants came together for a powerful “Celebration for 'A' Life” at BALCO Medical Centre Walkathon, united in the fight against cancer. 👣

Sonja Dinner, President at The DEAR Foundation Switzerland and founder of the DearYou app, together with her team, were proud to stand alongside this inspiring community, raising awareness for various types of cancer.

Moments like these remind us how strong collective action can be. 💪🌱

Through our free DearYou app, we raise awareness and provide women with educational support on breast cancer and breast health. Together, we are turning awareness into action, shaping a healthier and more informed future. 💗

What a truly inspiring message from Montaha, a member of the Beita Women’s Development Society. In her video, she reminds us of something so simple yet so powerful: breast health matters, for every woman, everywhere.

Montaha shows us what courage looks like: speaking up, looking out for one another, and breaking the silence surrounding women’s health. Her words are a beautiful reminder that awareness starts with just one voice — and that voice can spark real change.
So let’s follow her example.

Share the message, empower your circle, talk openly with your family and friends, and help raise awareness wherever you are.

Health starts with you! 💗
