At the National Institute of Technology Raipur, we saw how powerful it can be when women are given room to listen, learn, and connect. The atmosphere was filled with openness and courage as students and staff wives explored a topic many rarely get the chance to talk about.

This event was more than information — it was a reminder that awareness begins with safe spaces, and that empowered women take charge of their health.

NIT Raipur created exactly that. 💗

More than 2,500 participants came together for a powerful “Celebration for 'A' Life” at BALCO Medical Centre Walkathon, united in the fight against cancer. 👣

Sonja Dinner, President at The DEAR Foundation Switzerland and founder of the DearYou app, together with her team, were proud to stand alongside this inspiring community, raising awareness for various types of cancer.

Moments like these remind us how strong collective action can be. 💪🌱

Through our free DearYou app, we raise awareness and provide women with educational support on breast cancer and breast health. Together, we are turning awareness into action, shaping a healthier and more informed future. 💗

What a truly inspiring message from Montaha, a member of the Beita Women’s Development Society. In her video, she reminds us of something so simple yet so powerful: breast health matters, for every woman, everywhere.

Montaha shows us what courage looks like: speaking up, looking out for one another, and breaking the silence surrounding women’s health. Her words are a beautiful reminder that awareness starts with just one voice — and that voice can spark real change.
So let’s follow her example.

Share the message, empower your circle, talk openly with your family and friends, and help raise awareness wherever you are.

Health starts with you! 💗

Sometimes a story doesn’t begin with strength — it begins with fear.

When Bahija heard the word leukemia during her pregnancy, everything she imagined for her future shifted. Yet in that moment of uncertainty, she chose to keep moving, not because the path was easy, but because hope still lived inside her. 💗

She learned what it means to travel far for treatment, to face systems that offer too little, and to carry a diagnosis that changes everything. But instead of letting the weight break her, she transformed it. She wrote her way through the pain, turned her experience into four books, and slowly built a voice that others could lean on.

Her story didn’t stop with survival.
It grew into AMAL, into support for patients and families, into places like Dar Al Amal where dignity and care meet those who need it most. 🌱

Bahija shows us that strength isn’t loud — it’s the quiet decision to rise, and to lift others with you. ✨

India — In many rural communities, knowledge about breast cancer is limited, and women often lack access to reliable health information.

During our recent visit to Chhattisgarh, the DearYou initiative — together with Balco Medical Centre — worked with local organizations to empower women with vital health information.

A key role is played by the Mitanins, trusted community health volunteers who bring guidance directly to villages and households. By equipping them with practical tools and knowledge, important breast health messages can reach women far beyond hospitals and cities.

“When we give, we gain” reminds us that the world moves forward when we choose to lift one another up. With this year’s slogan ‘Give to Gain’, we are aligning with the official International Women’s Day 2026 campaign.
Across continents, cultures, and languages, Give to Gain may take different shapes — but its impact is universal. 🌍

Today, we honour women everywhere who inspire through courage, compassion, and strength.
Women who give their all to those they love.
Women who give hope where it’s fading.
Women who give strength and possibility to those who need it most.

At The DEAR Foundation and DearYou, we work with remarkable women who give their all every day so that their communities can grow stronger from within. 🌱💪

When women thrive, we all rise. ✨

Palestine – Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in Palestine, and too many cases are still diagnosed at a late stage. That’s why nurses from the Beita Women’s Development Society (BWDS) are doing amazing work across communities, teaching women about self-examinations, raising awareness, and supporting open conversations about breast health.🩷

Through home visits, workshops, and outreach, BWDS empowers women with knowledge and practical tools like the DearYou app 📲.

BWDS believes that early detection and open conversations can change outcomes.
Health starts with you.
