That assumption sounds logical — but wound care is more nuanced than that.

In ActiMaris, the hypertonic salt concentration creates an osmotic effect. This helps bind excess moisture in the peri-wound area, supports a decongesting effect, and can help improve peripheral circulation — without drying out the wound itself. Sea salt also has hygroscopic properties, which play a role in this moisture balance.
