When asked, "What's your retreat all about?" I often struggle to capture its essence in words. It's challenging to "sell" an experience that's inherently unique to each participant. 🤷‍♀️ No words can express the magic of what happens in a group, in a specific space and time.

I don't have a unique and captivating sales pitch🫣. My one-day retreats can be a step towards transformation, at one or all levels i.e. physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. They offer a nurturing day that, if approached with openness, can enrich daily life.

How? Not making any 'grand promises,' but taking a day for yourself can open up new perspectives and ignite the spark of self-betterment eventually leading to personal transformation.

Fortunately, I've been blessed with a supportive community that gets what I'm about, sparing me the need for sales pitches🥰. Yet, I want to welcome new faces, and continue sharing insights and learnings that have shaped my path.

Who doesn’t want youthful, healthy skin or silky, glorious locks? The beauty industry is rife with serums and treatments, all offering a silver bullet to everything from acne control to anti-aging. While these are helpful, the real “secrets” to gorgeous skin are diet and lifestyle. On top of which, it’s not what you do periodically, but what you do regularly that makes a lasting difference.

That’s why Āyurveda places an emphasis on Dinacharya (your daily routine). The practices suggested in this post are examples of simple, at-home procedures you can include in your day-to-day to not only promote beauty, but well-being overall. Pick the ones that work for you. You’re better off doing a few things sustainably, than trying to do everything and getting overwhelmed. Consistency is the biggest winner.

I will guide you through a specific Mantra practice designed to activate your energy & inner strength. It will also activate the malas that the participants will make under the expert guidance of Rachel from MALATOPIA . She will lead a workshop on creating exquisite necklaces (malas) using sandalwood or Rudraksha beads, which will be beautifully combined with gemstones and tassels.

Seeking beauty is not a shallow endeavour. At least not from an Āyurvedic perspective. In fact, Āyurveda considers beauty to be a matter of importance, regardless of age or s*x, because it is an external sign of internal wellness.

So, embrace beauty. See it as a way to honour your health, and celebrate it as a reflection of your vigour and well-being 🩷.

When you think about healthy living, how often do you think of s*x? Nutrition, exercise, stress management and sleep tend to take the spotlight, yet s*x too is of utmost importance..

Āyurveda recognises this significance. Its teachings promote s*xual activity, as well as the cultivation and management of s*xual energy as one of its 3 pillars for a robust, fulfilled life.

Research tells us that women in particular are prone to negative self-judgement. Whether this stems from past experiences, societal pressure or low self-esteem, the tragedy is that such judgement is emotionally, mentally and spiritually damaging; and provides no benefit.

“I’m not smart enough to be promoted.”
“I’m too unfit and fat. I’ll never be beautiful.”
“I’m doing a lousy job as a friend/partner/mother.”

This narrative (or a variation of it) is pretty common. Pay attention to what you tell yourself though. Yes, you have flaws. We all do. But focusing on them for no other reason than holding yourself down is a useless endeavour.

Instead, accept your flaws. Use them as a catalyst for self-development and spiritual growth. Do NOT allow them to cloud your self-identity. Your thoughts should serve you, motivate or empower you. You should not serve them.

Another month, another visit from Aunt Flo. It’s just one more aspect of womanhood, right ladies? As annoying and inconvenient as these visits can be, they are a time of cleansing and rejuvenation. We are lucky to get them! 😀

From an Āyurvedic perspective, a healthy menstrual cycle indicates balanced doshas and a well-functioning reproductive system. So let's the flow🥰, honour our bodies, and maybe indulge in a little -care too 😁.
