Are you planning your festive menus? For many of us, sugar is literally the number 1 ingredient in many dishes, especially if we’re buying ready-made packaged cranberry sauces, turkey gravies, mash potato gravies, cake mixes, stocks, etc.

Being mindful of how dangerous sugar is: yes, even "healthy" forms like coconut, fruit, molasses and unrefined - is incredibly important. This research article will not be welcomed by Big Food, but I'm glad some of us are big advocates of preventative healthcare!

In my coaching practice I guide my ladies on how to reduce and eventually eliminate sugar, without the withdrawal and to replace these with much healthier alternatives that do not spike blood glucose. I know you will not find this research surprising, however, I still think it’s important to highlight studies that show the impact of ultra-processed foods on health outcomes.

This recent study found that cutting 20% of sugar from packaged foods and 40% from beverages could prevent 2.4 million cardiovascular disease events, 490,000 cardiovascular events, and over 700,000 cases of diabetes in the US.

This is massive for what I believe to be small changes. If we reduce our sugar consumption, we can dramatically shift the amount of chronic disease experienced in this country.

Watch out for marketing tactics on their websites when they only mention the “key ingredients”! 😡

Always ask for the FULL list and if there are chemical-sounding names on them, BE AWARE. These are chemicals used for the preservation and the improvement of texture. “Perfume” and “fragrance” are the other common ingredients - usually synthetic fragrances.

Before seeing me she was hardly eating and yet gaining weight, even with exercise 🤯

In my coaching practice I encounter women with hormonal imbalances that stem from poor liver detox pathways. This manifests in severe PMS, uterine fibroids, fibrocystic breasts, ovarian cysts (PCOS), endometriosis, belly fat, chronic fatigue etc. A major consequence of poor detoxification is the increase risk of cancer: breast/uterine/ovarian.
I work to help them “unplug” the build-up as well as to re-establish the pathways with nutrition and supplementation. During this process it is crucial NOT to overload the liver with more toxins such as non-organic food.
As the article shows, organic food isn’t just hype! It is more expensive but it is an investment in your own and your family’s health.

All I can say is this: it IS POSSIBLE to be that healthy AND sexy ladies!

Stay moderately active, start a regular Pilates or yoga practice and I can guarantee that your body will be far limber than a young person who is sedentary!

BONUS? Happy and balanced hormones post-menopause: no weird mood swings, no hot flashes, no belly fat, reduced risk of breast/ovarian/endometrial cancers and high blood pressure, diabetes and heart diseases.

Getting to the REAL reasons why women suffer from allergies to cardiovascular disease, from breast cancer to poor mental health.

An impaired methylation pathway (MTHFR, SNPs) plays a role in these as well as the lack of specific B-vitamins.

Try this: roast the sprouts until slightly brown outside and thoroughly cooked inside. Let cool. Dip it in organic 60-70% DARK chocolate. Let cool.
Then wrap organic, grassfed bacon (cooked til soft, not crispy!!!) around it and hold everything together with a toothpick

Freshly baked homemade bread from the mother of the owner - yes it has gluten - but what the heck, it was only 1 slice, and the olive oil was to DIE FOR

Another ❤️ ; it made me so happy and fulfilled!
After years of suffering, her thyroid inflammation and swelling reduced substantially and so did the pressure on her eye balls, reducing the bulge. And this was only 1 month into my program 💪🏻 Pictures coming up soon!

Clocked almost 20’000 steps touring the trail and with only a non-carb vegetable brunch, we ended up with a delicious seafood paella 🥘 cooked with squid ink at for dinner!
Was there too much rice (aka sugar) that spiked my blood glucose? Sure! But with almost no carbs that day, it’ll be insane not to refuel 😵‍💫
We also had our 3rd dessert after 5 days in : crema catalana. Phenomenal but once is enough 😅

My brunch today: large coleslaw of raw cabbage, carrots, red peppers, slices of orange and some cashews tossed in a lovely sesame-soy-honey dressing and half an 🥑. Tastes a lot better than it looks ❤️

Craving for broth 🍜 tonight because we wanted something less greasy
I had to leave a large portion of the wheat noodles behind. Not so long ago I would’ve finished it all with gusto but not any more, knowing that gluten wrecks the gut lining leading to chronic ailments like seasonal allergies, autoimmune disorders (rheumatoid arthritis, Hashimoto’s hyperthyroidism etc.), ADHD/ADD in adults and children, brain fog, mood disorders, thyroid imbalances, infertility and even Alzheimer’s.
