Happy Moon-Festival!
Today is the day of Mid-autumn Festival in the Chinese culture, one of the most important and ancient Chinese festivals!
The legend goes....

"After the hero Houyi shot down nine of the ten suns, he was pronounced king by the thankful people. However, he soon became a conceited and tyrannical ruler. In order to live long without death, he asked for the elixir from Xiwangmu. But his wife, Chang'e, stole it on the fifteenth of August because she did not want the cruel king to live long and hurt more people. She took the magic potion to prevent her husband from becoming immortal. Houyi was so angry when discovered that Chang'e took the elixir, he shot at his wife as she flew toward the moon, though he missed. Chang'e fled to the moon and became the spirit of the moon. Houyi died soon because he was overcome with great anger. Thereafter, people offer a sacrifice to Chang'e on every fifteenth day of eighth month to commemorate Chang'e's action."

甘草 - liquorice - Süssholz!

"The team used an artificial intelligence system to predict the efficacy of liquiritin, finding that it significantly inhibited the replication of the new virus strain, Sars-CoV-2, in Vero cells – a cell line developed from a monkey.
They also tested the compound on mice for seven days, finding that liquiritin “didn’t show toxicity or side effects in two independent experiments”, according to the paper.
“In summary, we suggest that liquiritin should be assessed in human patients suffering from Covid-19,” the researchers wrote."

Liebe Freunde, liebe Patientinnen



Ich hoffe, Ihr seid bis jetzt alle gut durch diese turbulenten Zeiten gekommen!

Ab Montag ist wieder „Normalbetrieb“, das heisst es braucht keine Überweisung mehr für Behandlungen bei mir in der Praxis.

Ich staffle die Behandlungen etwas weiter, damit sich möglichst nie zwei Patientinnen in der Praxis begegnen, und ich immer gut und lange durchlüften kann. Des Weiteren arbeite ich natürlich mit Maske und regelmässiger Desinfektion aller Flächen und Gegenstände, die berührt werden.

Meldet Euch also schnell, falls Ihr von den überbordenden Pollen geplagt werdet, Eure ursprüngliche Behandlung endlich fortsetzen, oder andere Leiden angehen möchtet!

Wenn es Euch lieber ist, virtuell Kräuter verschrieben zu bekommen, dann können wir diesen Weg selbstverständlich fortsetzen.

Sobald wie möglich werde ich auch die Taichi Stunden wieder fortsetzen, das geht ja auch sehr gut ohne Berührung und mit Abstand.

Ich hoffe, wir sehen uns bald wieder in Persona, und wünsche Euch gute Gesundheit!

雨水 - Zeit des „Regenwassers“

Gestern war schon 雨水 - die Zeit des „Regenwassers“ im chinesischen Sonnenkalender. Damit ist der Frühling schon wieder ein Stück näher, denn der nächste Abschnitt im Kalender ist das Erwachen der Insekten.
Die Tage werden merklich länger, und das Yang steigt wieder an. Das bringt natürlich auch wieder verstärkten Pollenflug mit sich. Die Pollen verbinden sich heutzutage leider zusätzlich mit Feinstaub, was vermehrt zum ungeliebten Heuschnupfen führt.
Dagegen kann man glücklicherweise auch akut noch mit Kräutern und Akupunktur vorgehen, aber es ist immer besser, nicht zu lange mit der Behandlung zu warten!
Des weiteren empfiehlt es sich, in dieser Zeit auf scharfes Essen und histaminreiche Nahrungsmittel zu verzichten. Bei übermässiger Schleimproduktion ist es auch besser, Milchprodukte und Zucker sowie kalte Nahrungsmittel wegzulassen.

Mein Lehrer Jim war letztes Wochenende in Freiburg und hat uns wieder viele zusätzliche Details zur Form und zu den Softenings vermittelt! Ich freue mich darauf, diese am Dienstag und Mittwoch mit Euch zu teilen!
