Consultation plays a crucial role in IR. Through thorough consultation, we can gather all the necessary information about a patient's condition. Every patient is unique, and their approach should be too. With a consultation, we can ensure the best possible outcome, and it’s fundamental to obtain the patient's consent before the procedure (including biopsies).

I am Dr. Greicy Heymann, a junior consultant in interventional radiology at the Lindenhofspital in Bern, Switzerland 🇨🇭. With my colleagues, Dr. M. Glenck and Prof. Dr. H. Hoppe, I am thrilled to introduce you to this month's : Basic IR techniques! 😊
