Rest is a Radical Act | I am filled with gratitude and joy for having been part of a deeply nourishing Yoga Nidra retreat last week in Crete, dedicated to reconnecting with our intuition.
Each day, we practiced 2–3 Yoga Nidra sessions with Uma or Yoli, accompanied by gentle, mindful movement. It was deep inner work. For me, it brought up again the intergenerational trauma linked to my father’s past. I’ve known before that there’s still healing needed in this area, but during the final three days of the retreat, I could really feel the sadness re-entering my system — not just my own sadness, but my father’s unresolved pain, which lives on in my body. He hasn’t yet been able to heal his traumas, and in some way, I carry their imprint.
I’m deeply grateful for Uma’s guidance. Her carefully chosen words sank deep into my consciousness and supported me in reconnecting with my inner voice, my intuition.
The days at Yoga Rocks felt very restorative and grounding. I sense that part of the heaviness I’ve been holding was gently transformed, released into lightness and renewed energy, as I surrendered my body to the earth and felt supported by it.
I deeply honor the opportunity I had to meet Uma, Yoli, the other wonderful souls in our group, and the volunteers who helped create a safe, shared space. Together, we formed a community of trust and connection.
