🇨🇭Manchmal sieht eine Karies klein aus – und entpuppt sich als echte Herausforderung.
Ein gutes Beispiel dafür, wie wichtig Röntgendiagnostik, sorgfältige Planung und strukturierte Behandlungsschritte sind. Was klein aussieht, kann klinisch sehr anspruchsvoll sein.
Diese kleine Patientin kam nach mehreren Behandlungsversuchen in einem anderen Praxis zu uns. Klinisch wirkte die Läsion unauffällig, doch das Röntgenbild zeigte eine tiefe Karies bis zur Pulpa. Zusätzlich fehlte unter diesem Milchzahn der bleibende Zahnkeim.
Deshalb entschieden wir uns für eine Pulpotomie mit biokeramischem Material und anschließender Versorgung mit einer Stahlkrone – alles unter Kofferdam und in Allgemeinanästhesie.

A good reminder of how important proper radiographic diagnosis, treatment planning, and step-by-step ex*****on are. What looks small can become a real clinical challenge.
This Patient came to our practice after multiple treatment attempts elsewhere. Clinically, the lesion looked minor, but the X-ray revealed deep caries reaching the pulp. In addition, the permanent tooth germ was missing.
We decided to perform a pulpotomy using a bioceramic material, followed by a composite build-up and a stainless steel crown — all under rubber dam and general anesthesia.
