🚑 From theory to transport-ready confidence. At the Wisconsin EMS Association Foundation pre-conference workshop, we brought the focus where it matters most, real-world ventilation in the prehospital environment, powered by the .

This wasn not just a lecture. It was hands-on, scenario-driven discussion around what EMS clinicians face every day:

🚨 Choosing the right ventilator mode — and knowing why
🚨 Setting safe, effective initial parameters in the field
🚨 Managing alarms with confidence instead of guesswork
🚨 Taking a deeper dive into NIV — improving outcomes and optimizing BiPAP synchrony when every breath counts

📝 One image, one maneuver. Do you recognize what’s being measured here? Occlusion maneuvers are powerful tools to assess respiratory drive and patient effort, especially during invasive mechanical ventilation.
👀 Based on the image shown, which occlusion maneuver is being performed?

A) End-expiratory occlusion — Pocc (occlusion pressure)
B) End-expiratory occlusion — PMI (pressure muscle index)
C) End-inspiratory occlusion — P0.1 (occlusion pressure in the first 100 ms)
D) End-inspiratory occlusion — PMI and Pmus

💌 A small Valentine’s note to the critical care community

Dear ICU teams, respiratory therapists, clinicians, and caregivers,

You spend your days listening to alarms, reading waveforms, adjusting settings, and watching over patients who need you most.

You do it with precision.
You do it with teamwork.
You do it with heart.

This Valentine's day, we are sending our appreciation to everyone who brings compassion and expertise to every breath they support.

We see you. And we are grateful for you.

How is your shift today? Drop an emoji that sums it up.

Yours truly,
The Hamilton Medical team

Advancing mechanical ventilation through hands-on learning 🤝 The Future Focus Solutions & Pharma Co., LTD team recently took part in a mechanical ventilation training at Kalmet Hospital and Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital, organized by professors from USA Alliance International Medicine.
The course covered key topics including:

• Ventilator waveforms (pressure, flow, volume)
• Patient–ventilator asynchrony
• Lung-protective strategies, including the PEEP ladder
• Prone positioning

Participants also explored the practical application of the HAMILTON-C1 and HAMILTON-C6, connecting theory with real-world clinical use.
