Eight days ago, we celebrated a milestone that still has me smiling: the 10th anniversary of CONNECTEDLIVING! 🥂✨
Even though it was Mother’s Day, our creative space was filled with the warmth of past clients, current clients, and the dear friends who gave me the courage to begin this work a decade ago.
The energy of the day was completely magical. Right outside our office building, the global WorldRun was taking place.
Just as we were setting up, the largest batch of over 5,000 runners surged past! Throughout the afternoon, my guests and I cheered from the office windows as the crowds outside erupted in joy and the chase cars flew by.
The celebration felt multiplied many times over with Mother's Day, the vibrant energy of the WorldRun, and CONNECTEDLIVING's 10th Birthday all merging into one!
Inside, our stomachs and hearts were full. We indulged in Swiss cheeses, curated jambon, vegetable with hummus, chips for the kids, and mini samosas catered beautifully by Ooh Curry Zug.
A very dear friend’s daughter also baked her incredible chocolate walnut brownies—they are my absolute favorite, with a crisp outer crust and a rich, moist inside.
Chetana Parameswar from 'Cupcakes and More' by Chetana beautifully brought my springtime wishes to life with lemon mini-cupcakes with lavender icing and real edible lavender sprinkled on top, alongside a decadent chocolate cake with coffee icing and a chocolate ganache core.
As their taste buds were tickled and stomachs got full, the kids wanted to draw. Because art is integrated into many of our workshops and programs, we could easily provide them with papers, pencils, and colors. Soon, they organized themselves around the center table in our main office, completely busy drawing and discussing their art with each other, leaving the parents free to fully catch up and relax.
Before the night ended, a few families stayed back and had the bright idea to ask me to speak about what the journey has been for me over the last decade and what my vision was for the next 10 years. I hadn't prepared anything at all, but thanks to them insisting on my vision, I managed to finally articulate it straight from the heart:
"I see myself walking alongside many different people facing incredibly varied difficulties. My ultimate goal—and my greatest privilege—is to be invited into the most difficult, painful parts of their journeys. If they choose me to be there in those times, they will find me right beside them."
Because I believe deeply in protecting the privacy and presence of my guests, I chose not to take any pictures of them to post on social media. Instead, we were so swept up in the real-life conversations that we only captured the beautiful serenity of the initial setup, and a few snapshots at the very end when the plates were happily nearly empty! It was the perfect visual proof of a day full of life and full hearts.
Thank you to every client, partner, vendor, and supporter who has trusted me over these first ten years. Here is to the next chapter.🙏🏽
