Earlier this year, we brought immersive VR pilot training to the Himalayas together with Airbus Helicopters.

Our team will be at VERTICON (formerly HAI HELI-EXPO), March 10–12, bringing two of our VR full-motion simulators on site: H125 and H145.

We’ll also be hosting a live capability show with LAPD, highlighting how immersive VR training is being used to build mission readiness.

Kevin Gallagher knew that.

As Chief Pilot of the Los Angeles Police Department Air Support Unit, he pushed for something different:
More repetition.
More realism.
More readiness.

He didn’t just adopt VR training — he embedded it into everyday operations.

Under his leadership, simulator usage increased more than 5x in year two.
High-risk scenarios became routine practice.
Proficiency became culture.

As Kevin moves on to his new role at Helinet Aviation, he leaves behind a pioneering training model that will continue shaping public safety aviation.
