Certains produits de santé ne peuvent pas être stérilisés en utilisant des recettes de cycle standard. La géométrie du produit, les systèmes d'emballage ou la sensibilité des matériaux peuvent nécessiter que les paramètres de stérilisation soient spécifiquement conçus pour le dispositif.

Le développement de cycles personnalisés combine des pré-tests, une cartographie environnementale et une analyse microbiologique pour établir des paramètres de stérilisation robustes selon les normes ISO 11135 ou ISO 17665.

Viele Gesundheitsprodukte werden als Mehrkomponenten-Kits verteilt, die Geräte, Zubehör, Dokumentation und Verpackungselemente kombinieren. Während der Industrialisierung muss die Montage der Kits von kleinen manuellen Operationen zu kontrollierten Fertigungsabläufen übergehen, die in der Lage sind, eine großflächige Produktion zu unterstützen.

In regulierten Umgebungen wird das Verpacken von Kits als Fertigungstätigkeit betrachtet. Die Montageprozesse müssen unter ISO 13485-Qualitätssystemen betrieben werden, während die Integrität der sterilen Barriere gemäß ISO 11607 geschützt wird.
