Children don’t just learn from what we say, they learn from what we do.

Watching these mini warriors with swords is such a beautiful reminder of that truth. 💫

Confidence, strength, and grace aren’t things you can simply tell a child to have. They’re absorbed, mirrored, and practiced. And when a young girl sees her mom (or dad) showing up with courage, moving with power, and embracing her own softness and strength she learns that those qualities live in her too.

This is why I’m endlessly grateful for our WeaponUP community. ⚔️

Not only are we building confidence in ourselves, but we’re also shaping the next generation of mini graceful warriors. From living rooms to backyards all across the U.S., little eyes are watching, learning, and stepping into their own power.

To our members who shared these moments thank you for reminding us that the seeds of strength are planted early, and what we nurture today becomes the confidence of tomorrow. 🌸

BASs are a staple in my life! Huge appetite after training but also being mindful of calorie intake means high volume and low cal meals that taste delicious!!

This is a post of deep, whole-hearted gratitude.

To every single person who pressed play, picked up a practice sword, and said “yes” to something new.

To all of you who trusted us with your bodies, your breath, your time, your stories.

To those who messaged us with encouragement, who shared videos with friends, who found their own power inside a sword flow.

Thank you for being part of our story. You are the reason WeaponUP exists.

WeaponUP started with an idea—one I kept close to my heart for over a decade.

For 12 years, this was my personal practice. A fusion of kung fu sword, yoga, and intuitive movement that I explored quietly, in living rooms, empty studios, and rented corners of my life. It was sacred to me, but I was afraid to share it. Afraid it would be misunderstood, judged, or too much.

But in 2024, something shifted. I took a leap. We launched our online studio, and opened the doors to what would become something far bigger than me. Our team of one became two, then it became many!

Today, WeaponUP is a growing global community—of movers, of graceful warriors, of women (mostly!) who are out there swinging their swords, sweating with intention, laughing mid-lunge, and rediscovering their strength through movement that looks and feels different.

Real. Raw. Radiant.

New instructors, new classes, new series and even new movement forms are coming! This is still just the beginning. We are building something wild, something lasting, something transformative—together.

We are becoming Graceful Warriors. One who moves with power and purpose, embodying strength through elegance and presence through discipline.

⚔️ The laptop — because I’m living online for what feels like 24/7 connecting and growing our awesome community.
⚔️ The baby carrier — because daily walks with my almost three-month-old daughter are a non-negotiable.
⚔️ The sword and the yoga mat — because these have been my pillars of sanity, strength, and growth for years… and now, they’re needed more than ever.

Confidence through sword practice. ⚔️🌸

Let’s talk about confidence for a minute. There are so many moments in the day where I’m absolutely down in the dumps about myself and my confidence is seriously lacking. But no matter how many times I may have these moments of self doubt, all I have to do is look back at a trail of disciplined effort and be frikkin proud of myself.

Confidence is a practice just like everything else. If you show up every day, wholeheartedly for yourself then you are building the confidence muscle. This doesn’t mean that you’re going to always look in the mirror with rose colored glasses, it just means that your self trust is the foundation which true confidence stems from.

Showing up for ourselves at work, at home and for our goals is what will build the foundation of self trust that no one can shake or take away from you. Practicing the straight sword just gives you a little “bad ass” boost when you need that pick me up.

WeaponUP has been 12 years in the making. 🌸⚔️🌸

This arduous training is only half of the picture! I spent two years training Shaolin Kung Fu and Wudang Tai Chi in the mountains of China.

Learning martial arts at its most traditional and fundamental level. It was an experience I will never forget and always cherish.

However this is only half of what WeaponUP is made of! The other half lies in my ten year experience learning and teaching vinyasa yoga! I’ll share my training in India in another post!

Mixing two traditional forms of practice isn’t easy especially in the world we live in today. But I want to move away from all philosophy and stick to the MOVEMENT ⚔️

Weaponup is a holistic practice that combines the discipline of kung fu and the grace of vinyasa yoga. The practice combines four different aspects:

WeaponUP Balance: Focusing on balance, breathing, slow movements which remind you of a cool morning qi gong practice
WeaponUP Flex: Focusing on flexibility training, deepening the reach of your body!
WeaponUP Sculpt: Strength all the way! This series combines the strength training of shaolin kung fu with the demanding practice of power yoga.
