About Us:
The Afghanistan Center for Health and Peace Studies (ACHPS) is a collective effort by professionals and advocates from health, peace, and development sectors, including the diaspora community. Registered and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, the Center has a wide network spanning several Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs), including Afghanistan. Our objective is to offer comprehensive services including collaborative research, networking, advocacy, dialogue, and capacity development with a focus on health, peace, and development in LMICs. Our aim is to generate evidence, provide policy, spearhead capacity development efforts, and champion advocacy through domestic and global partnerships. We collaborate with both public and private national and international institutions focusing on the humanitarian-development nexus to ensure sustainability, efficiency, and synergistic interaction in interventions across LMICs. The Center will act as a catalyst bridging national, diaspora and international experts through establishment of dedicated task forces addressing distinct target geographic and research areas.
