Ma conférence et comment je serai présentée
Valérie Ji-Sook Burnet is a Swiss psychoanalyst based in Geneva and a full member of the Swiss Society of Psychoanalysis since 2022. She is actively involved in psychoanalytic institutions and currently serves as honorary secretary of the Communication Committee of the European Federation of Psychoanalysis.
Her research focuses on what constitutes psychoanalysis as a unique form of treatment. She co-leads a seminar with Antonio Andreoli on borderline states and their articulation in contemporary society, and another with Olivier Bonnard exploring “the destinies of the psyche between Narcissus and Eros,” the theme of the 86th CPLF Congress in Paris. She also participates in the Franco-German Working Group.
In this vein, she has published several articles in the R***e française de psychanalyse: in 2020 on the work of the feminine, in 2024 on psychoanalysis as an affected theory, and in 2025 on the notion of the “selected fact” as a compass between fulgurance and temperance.
She is particularly interested in how psychoanalysis can maintain its specificity while engaging with the public sphere.
