On coincidence

This is what we found in the studio this morning - leftover from a kids birthday party yesterday. Could I wish a better goodbye party decoration? Coincidence does not exist.

For yogis, additionally, this meant an opportunity not to see themselves in the mirror during the class - also something worth experiencing.

Dear yogis,

Let me wish you very merry holidays, spent in calm, with love and joy, in the company of your closest ones.

If you feel like moving and breathing together during the break, there will be one class (if we have 3 or more yogis): 🧘‍♀️ Sunday Morning Yoga · Dec 28 · 8:15–9:10 · Booking as usual, link in bio.

I am looking forward to seeing you on the mat, be it still this year or next 🙏

Coming home to yourself 🤍

The pre-holiday season often feels full and demanding. We all know it. Sometimes unexpected circumstances add on top of it, too. Not easy.

What we sometimes forget, or don’t always manage to access, is this: no matter how busy the season is, no matter the circumstances, we can always return to ourselves. And within us, there is always peace. There is truth. There is clarity.

These qualities may feel hidden — covered by errands, must-dos, expectations, or overwhelm. Yet they are always there. Reachable. Available.

By respecting the body, through slow, deep breath with longer exhales, through repetition, and through what feels familiar and safe, we create space to come home.

Soft, simple music and grounded tones support this return. Longer Yin holds remind us that there is nothing to do, nowhere to go — just arriving and staying. Lying on the ground, like in Savasana, the body can fully relax, feel heavy, and be safely supported by the earth.

So, a gentle reminder for the holidays: no matter the noise around us, there is always peace within. There is truth. There is clarity. And you can reach it and feel it — anytime.

Merry holidays, dear yogis.
With peace and love.
Namaste. 🤍

On Yoga Teachers

When you go to a vinyasa class taught by two different teachers, the classes will be different. Naturally.

Every yoga teacher is different. Every yoga teacher brings something unique and puts a little bit of themselves into the class—their own beliefs and energy.

That’s why I say to all newcomers not to judge yoga based on one experience with me, but to give it at least one or two more tries instead.

I feel especially blessed when it clicks—when my style and what I offer match what you welcome/ desire/ appreciate/ need.

I am so grateful for our current yogi group.

Thank you.

I'm going to miss this so, so much. !! 😅🥹🤗

Grounding breathwork | How to find ease and peace during autumn melancholies 🧡

/Take anything inbetween 3-8 breaths in each version, whatever feels good for you at the time/

__

- Sit tall and close your eyes. Press your sitting bones into the ground, lengthen your spine, lift the top of your head as high as you can, relax your shoulders.

- Breathe through your nose — long inhale, long exhale. Observe your breath.

- Place your hands on your belly. Feel your belly move as you breathe. It expands into your hands as you inhale and softens back as you exhale.

- Move your hands to your chest and place them over your heart, one on top of the other. Feel your chest move with each breath. Feel your heart beating.

- Bring your palms together in front of your chest, shoulders relaxed.

- Bow your head by bringing your chin to your chest. When you're ready, slowly open your eyes.
With your next inhale, lift your head back up.

- Smile for yourself and enjoy the calm within. 🧡

On Visions and Dreams

Well, a year ago when I started teaching in Horgen Oberdorf, this was my dream: that we build a community and have, let’s say, around 5 yogis joining each time.

That we’ll know each other, we will be happy to see each other. That the tea-chat before the class will flow naturally, with interest and kindness.

In the past 5 weeks, there were altogether only 4 spots left across all the Wednesday evening classes. This means 36 out of 40 spots were booked. Three classes were booked out completely, with yogis on the waitlist. And all of that way before Wednesday.

Especially in the past 2 weeks, I felt and enjoyed the gathering of all of you who came - and with whom we sat with tea at the table (and on the mat later ☺️) - to my very core.

It was exactly like that: that we know each other, that we are happy to see each other. That we are interested in each other. That we care.

I feel blessed that you find benefits in our yoga gatherings. That it does you good. And that it is so strong for you that it motivates you to come back.

Seeing you happy, content, and harmonized after the class fills me with true and pure joy.

Thank you, dear yogis.
This really means the world to me.

Yours, p.

On Sunday Morning Yoga

Each day is a new beginning. Each day holds so many opportunities. One of them is — despite the mornings get colder and darker — choosing to get up and start your day with yoga.

On Sunday mornings we begin together in a cozy space — soft candlelight, calm music, and a table with warm tea welcoming the first chats of the day.

On the mat, we sit. We find our mind. We find our body. We find our breath. We connect it all, and through gentle movement — from small to bigger — we wake up the body with care, cultivate focus, and sharpen the mind.

Savasana at the end is a gift — a quiet moment to absorb the effects of the past hour.

-- Each day is a new beginning. Each day holds so many opportunities. One of them is choosing to start your morning with yoga. :)

I’m grateful to everyone who joined today. It was a pleasure to hear how good the practice felt to you.

Until next time on the mat, yogis.
