📍For the Heart-Led Leaders Who Refuse to Become Martyrs

I didn’t build my projects for money.
I built them for my dogs. 🐾
For P**a. For Roma. For Devi.

Each one came from the streets.
Each one cracked something open in me.
Each one called me to rise.

🐕 P**a sparked my first business, Citydogs.
She was the reason I walked away from a high-paying career as a financial trustee.
Her love mattered more than numbers ever could.

🐕 Roma is the reason our charity The Dog Rose in Romania exists.
I couldn’t adopt him and abandon his family.
So we built something bigger—for them all.

🐕 Devi broke me open.
Her trauma ran so deep, even with all my experience, I couldn’t “fix” her.
But I could stay. I could love. I could keep growing.
And from that journey, The Animal Code inner practice was born.

🌳 I was never here to build an empire.
I came to build a heart-centered legacy—
rooted in love, resilience, and service.
For the animal kingdom.
For nature.
For like-hearted souls.

And along the way I’ve learned:

🐬 Service cannot mean sacrifice.
🦁 Leadership cannot mean martyrdom.
🦋 Purpose cannot mean poverty.

We are here to build win–win–win–win creations:
✨ For nature
✨ For the animals
✨ For humankind
✨ And yes—for ourselves, too.

She’s the kind of future that gives us hope. The kind of voice this planet needs more of.

She dreams of becoming a large animal veterinarian—and she’s already walking that path with so much grace, grit, and generosity.

In a world aching for healing, Angi reminds us that the next generation is rising—and they’re rising in love.

This is 💝Roma💝 — the true founder of our beloved 🐕Dog Rose Charity.

He’s 15 now. Gentle. Wise. Still full of light.

Roma was rescued from the streets… but truthfully, he was the one who rescued us.

It was his spirit — his trust, his resilience, and his joy after hardship —
that lit the fire for what would become The Dog Rose:
a sanctuary for the voiceless, and a mission to protect those who have no voice but give so much love.

Roma is the soul behind it all.
And today, his legacy lives on in every rescue, every healed wound, and every joyful tail wag — led with devotion by our beloved Alice and our team in Romania. 🙏

To everyone who’s walked beside us — through love, donations, adoptions, or prayers:

Roma thanks you.
We all do.

Because it all started with one brave dog…
And it became a movement of compassion.

🐅 Honoring Valmik Thapar 🧚

Tiger Man of India
(1951–2025)

Today I want to honor a man whose life was a living prayer.
Not for himself.
But for the tigers of India—
and for the forests they protect.

Valmik Thapar passed on May 31st, at age 73.
For over 50 years, he walked the jungles of Ranthambore not as a tourist,
but as kin.
He knew the eyes of each tiger. Their calls. Their silences.
He watched them raise cubs, fight crocodiles, and vanish into shadow.

He lived not on purpose—
but in purpose.
And he reminded us:

“Without its apex predator, the forest itself will not survive.”

His bond with one tiger, Genghis, was legendary.
Their souls danced in a language beyond words.

In time, Valmik’s roar reached policy makers, poets, villagers, scientists—
anyone willing to listen.

Even now, the echo of his devotion still reverberates…
through the trees, the stripes, and the sacred stillness of wild places.

May we remember:
💛 To protect what is sacred is to honor life itself.
May we carry his light.

So… today I went to the hospital for a mammogram.

I’m deeply grateful to have access to this kind of medical care here in Switzerland—
and yet… my stomach always knots a little before going.

There’s fear.
Fear of the pain.
Fear of the unknown.
And always that quiet tension until the results arrive.

✨ Today, it was good. Hurray!
But over a decade ago… it wasn’t that good.
And I still remember how shocked, numb, and overwhelmed I felt back then.

Now, at 57 years old, I feel the effects of this beautiful, aging body.
Sometimes I wish I could stay biologically 21 forever…
and then just gently leave this Earth when I feel complete in my purpose. ✨

But here we are.
In these bodies.
Living these lives.
With all their beauty, mess, uncertainty, and grace.

So today, I pause in gratitude:
For the people I love.
For this body that carries me,
and the health I do have.

💗 Our greatest wealth is feeling alive and healthy.
Let’s cherish that.
Let’s care for each other.
Let’s walk this path together.

In Loving Memory of
Oliver Martin Stahel
01.09.1935 – 21.04.2025

My beloved Paps left his body on Easter Monday, April 21st—the very same day our beloved Pope Francis returned to the Light.

As his daughter, there are no words that can hold how much I miss Him.

Though my heart is deeply grateful that he is now free of pain and struggle, the emptiness he leaves behind is vast.

His presence, his guidance—especially through the hardest lessons—have shaped the empathic leader I am today. For that, and so much more, I am infinitely grateful.

Even when my life choices seemed different from what He envisioned—when I left my career in finance to care for animals and follow the quiet call of my Soul—I know deep within… He was so proud of me. Always.

I will forever treasure the last words He spoke to me on Good Friday:

“I keep looking at the beautiful teddy bear you brought me. It gives me strength.”

Dearest Paps
Thank you for your passion.
For your laughter and smiles.
For your unshakable spirit.
I carry you with me always.

May you rest in peace.

Surrounded by Loyalty: A Gratitude Note to Dogs 🐾💖

In the quiet comfort of companionship, I find deep gratitude for the loyal souls by my side. My dogs, my confidants, my silent cheerleaders—each moment with them is a gift of pure connection.
