We are proud to announce that the Service de cardiologie | CHUV has simultaneously published a clinical study in EuroIntervention and presented it at the TCT Congress in Washington DC 🎉.
This international multicenter study, led by our Interventional Cardiology Unit and conducted in partnership with the Radiology Department, assessed the potential of coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) and FFR derived from CCTA (FFR-CT, HeartFlow, Inc) to reduce unnecessary invasive coronary angiography (ICA) in patients with high-risk non-ST-elevation acute coronary syndromes (NSTE-ACS).
The study, conducted across 4 European centers with core lab adjudication 🌍, enrolled high-risk NSTE-ACS patients who underwent CCTA with FFR-CT analysis, followed by ICA with invasive FFR as the reference standard.
The findings highlight that FFR-CT provides superior diagnostic accuracy over CCTA alone, improving our ability to identify patients truly needing further intervention and potentially reducing unnecessary invasive procedures 🚀.

Congratulations to the entire Interventional Cardiology Unit and to all the co-authors for this significant contribution to advancing patient care in cardiology 👏.
