HospitHome: checking the health status of non-serious infected people remotely.
The start-up HospitHome based in Ticino, thanks to a remote monitoring and control kit, allows evaluating in real-time the disease course of non-hospitalized Covid-19 positive patients. The project, developed in synergy with Cardiocentro Ticino, among the pioneering hospitals of telemedicine in Europe, is also the result of collaboration with other personalities in the health sector such as the Ticino Ambulance Federation, the Ticino Cuore Foundation, the Lugano Clinic Moncucco, the Ticino Medical Association (in particular, in this first phase, the Lugano circle with its president Dr. Claudio Camponovo).
As explains Dante Moccetti, one of the minds from which the idea was born, the remote monitoring program starts from the experience of the Ticino Cardio center, which for about 15 years has been offering telemedicine services to heart patients with severe arrhythmias and defibrillator carriers, patients which are monitored remotely with daily control and automatic alert system in the event of changes in vital parameters.
HospitHome has treasured the know-how acquired in the past by adapting it for the Coronavirus emergency through the use of the latest technologies.
