- 1:1 coaching to reconnect to your body, emotions and intuition I started trusting myself more.

My life journey has brought me to many countries, mountains, jobs & sports. As a generalist and multi-potentialite I always jumped from passion to passion. In the back of my mind I always wanted to bring my life experiences and passions under one hat - yet it was never clear to me how. During my Yoga Teacher Training in India something clicked. I had been working on my personal development for yea

rs, but the shift I experienced in India was beyond words. I was able to reconnect with my intuition and the inner voice of wanting to create something grew louder. So I jumped. Happy Habits with Selin was born! :)
The journey of creating my own project has been an unbelievable learning experience so far. I am learning everything from scratch and am challenged every day. I love inspiring people to be their best and create their best lives through yoga&meditation classes and personal coachings. I am excited for everything that is yet to come. Death can be a great teacher to remind us what is truly important in life. Befriending death can not only help us to truly live the life we want based on our own chosen (and not learned or inherited) values, death is also a great teacher to help us set things into perspective and take decisions that feel aligned.
In her book "the top 5 regrets of the dying" Bronnie Ware shares the top regrets she encountered when accompanying people in their final days. A great book to get inspired to live life now - not with perfectionism, but lots of passion and presence.
There is one major regret that I would add (see no. 6).
Would you agree?
If yes - what can you do about that?
If no - what would you put as number 6?

Genuine Joy helps us step into more fulfillment and a feeling of aliveness.
Toxic Positivity prevents us from living life fully as we force ourselves to always stay on the optimistic side without realistically acknowledging the whole spectrum of emotions.
What are your experiences with genuine joy and toxic positivity?
Would genuinely love to know in the comments!

Do you have trouble making decisions? Knowing what you want?
Are you hesitant about your next step(s) in life?

I believe that we all have inner compasses for our lifestyle design and decision-making.

Often we lost our intuitive access to our unique compass. We are sometimes so busy and influenced by what we think others expect of us, our inner drive to achieve ever more and be successful in our careers that the inner compass gets covered by layers.

When it comes to taking an important decision we think about it and think about it and think about it. The thought circles turn backwards, forwards, take turns and keep returning to similar points. In with the thought storms comes an array of emotions: shame, guilt, fear, anger, disappointment.

All we want is to take the PERFECT DECISION - RIGHT NOW, to be back “in control”, to know “where we are going”. This decision is literally driving you crazy with some anxiety in top. What if I take the wrong decision?

I see you. I feel you.

But you know what? The inner compass only partially sits in the head - it mainly sits in the body. We get to reconnect with our bodies and hearts first to be able to take aligned decisions.

Would you like to practice reconnecting to your body & heart?
This is part of what we do at the REDISCOVER RETREAT!
Let me know in the comments what helps you to reconnect to you inner compass - would love to know!

When we are in big life transitions such as pregnancy, birth, a new baby, a new job, a new country, there is always a phase of adapting to the new and possibly romanticising the old.
Adapting to the new often comes with an array of emotions and experiences. There might be excitement about the new and simultaneously fear of the unknown. A part of us might remember the past, regret the change and engage in self-loathing. Another part looks into the future and would love to have already arrived to feel more settled within, leaving us with the feeling that we are not adapting fast enough. We might question our self-worth and wish for more clarity. We might feel free and in the next moment unsure.
How can we hold ourselves through these life transitions? I would suggest the best thing we can do is practise being kind to ourselves. When we zoom out and notice that we are in a transition that of course can come with a lot of different emotions, we can start bringing compassion to our experience. Of course there is fear. Ok, there is also joy. In the next moment there might be anger, followed by sadness. It is ok. Trying to give ourselves the space is very challenging AND it gives our different parts and emotions what they are looking for: they want to be seen and heard.
What life transition are you currently in / or have you recently integrated?
What emotions came up for you during this experience?
Would love to know in the comments!

What happens when you remind yourself to focus on you.
Focusing on your breath.
Focusing on your body and the signs its sending you.
Focusing on your emotions and the message that they are trying to send you.
Focusing on the ideas that are knocking on your door and that would like to come into the world through you.
What wants to flow through you?
Take that idea (those ideas) and sit with them.
Start imagining them.
Dreaming about them.
Journalling about them without having to know concretely HOW.
Just engaging.
So often we rationalize ourselves out of ideas that knock on our doors. We think we must "be efficient", "for it to be profitable", and the list goes on and on.
If we allow the idea to breathe first, we can see where it might take us. Maybe that is nowhere, or maybe that is somewhere.

I am so grateful that I get to co-create safe, introspective & deep retreat spaces.
If you have been a retreat participant, I'd love to say thank you: Thank you for your trust. Thank you for your courage & curiosity. Thank you for you openness & your emotions. Thank you for allowing yourself to retreat & reconnect. Thank you that you allow me to share what I love.
I do not take it for granted that I feel a deep sense of purpose, satisfaction and growth in my work. I also do not take your trust and your vulnerability for granted. It is an honor to guide groups of women to co-create a space of safety, a space of empowerment and a space where everything is allowed to be, but nothing has to. It is an honor to hold space for you whilst you reconnect to your body, whilst emotions are allowed to flow, whilst you share your inner-most experiences and whilst you dare to unfold your wings and fly.
For a long time in my life I struggled to "find my place in the professional world". I thought I needed to find the one career that would suit me. As an incredibly curious multi-potentialite I never seemed to fit in. Building my own business and co-creating these incredible retreat and coaching spaces allows me to bring in my many passions. It allows me to let flow through me what wants to flow through me. It allows me to blend my different life experiences and various potentials such as:

💡 insights I gained along my life path, often by going through challenging times
✈️ my intercultural competence & interpersonal sensitivity that I gained through so many travels and living abroad for several years.
📚 the varied tools and techniques I learned in my Studies, various Yoga Teacher Trainings, Coaching & Hypnotherapy training, etc., not to forget the many inspirational books and courses my mind got to engage with
🌳 my love for nature and movement
🌟 my talent to creatively blend different modalities into a unique program journey that allows space for relaxation, reconnection, release, expansion and inspiration.
Of course this path also comes with many challenges and yet I am so grateful that I get to be challenged and grow continuously along the way.

"Follow your curiosity. Ask questions. Sniff around. Remain open. Trust in the miraculous truth that new and marvelous ideas are looking for human collaborators every single day. Ideas of every kind are constantly galloping toward us, constantly passing through us, constantly trying to get our attention." - Elizabeth Gilbert

Staying with what is.
What do you tend to do when you don't feel inspired or in the flow? What do you do when you feel a litte lost?
My go to answers to the discomfort of feeling a bit lost, uninspired, insecure and unmotivated is wanting to run away. I want to escape that unease in my body by thinking about different jobs, adventures or relationships. I want to get myself out of the funk by doing sports or eating chocolate.
It just does not feel good to be with discomfort.
By bringing light into the darkness, we can move into acceptance of the "good" and the "bad", the "light" and the "shadow", the "wanted" and the "unwanted". And suddenly the breath flows a little easier. Slowly we cease to fight. We ease into what is and who we are: Never just one thing. Never just light. Never just darkness.

THE CIRCLE
In the circle of life we meet
synchronizing our breaths
retreating into our inner worlds
sharing a sacred circle
whole & complex as we are
round we go
vulnerably revealing our softness
protected by each other's heart
we gaze into each other's eyes
And I see you in me
And me in you
thoughtful of each other's experiences & emotiones
we listen and hold space
in the circle it is
that we get to be
just as we are
With all our imperfections,
messy processes
and emotional storms
welcome you are.
a poem that came to me during a beautiful exercise we did during the Reflect & Rejoice Retreat 22/23.
I'd be more than happy to co-create a circle with you in any of my upcoming retreats.

Trust that little voice within.
In our busy over-loaded world it is often hard to hear or discern it.
Who is talking? Is it me? Is it someone else? Is it a hurt part within me?
What is that voice saying?
Let us thus take a moment to lie down in nature
to close our eyes
to feel the sun on our skin
to allow the breath to travel deeper
to listen to nature's sounds
to relax into this present moment
Zoom into your inner world.
Allow your gaze to travel inward.
Let the ears be directed inward.
Can you hear it?
It is a whisper that grows louder when you give it attention.
Listen closely, listen often.
Your guide is just there - within you.
Can you hear it?
