this decade that is about to close has been a lot about breaking free. breaking through invisible internal chains - the ones that have been passed through generations - and also the self-imposed ones. the ones that didnt allow me to be the full expression of who i am.
my 30โs have been a lot about internal movements.
inner pieces that reconfigure in the most creative way,
few life changing clicks,
and forms to relate and live life that have transmutted into freer and happier forms.
freer to be - not as others expected me or told me i should be or live life - but free in a much more profound and authentic way.
the way that makes me thrive.
the way that makes me feel in love with my very own life.
feeling nostalgic yet excited.
from an astrological perspective, im in a ๐ช phase, a time that is deeply reflective. but it might also be that there are 6 or 7 retrograde planets at the moment ๐
โlife is a box full of surprisesโ - somebody told me once. and if i look back over this last decade, i fully agree.

โYoga is the artwork of awareness on the canvas of the body, mind, and soul.โ โ Amit Ray
Wikipedia defines body image as, โa person's perception of the sexual attractiveness of their own body. It involves how a person sees themselves, compared to the standards that have been set by society.โ

I recently read that 8 out of 10 people have - at least - one aspect of their physical body they would like to change. Isnโt that crazy? No doubt - that negative body image taken in an extreme can certainly cause eating disorders, anxiety, and depression (to name just a few).-
But the whole point I wish to make here IS: how disempowering and dangerous it is to take body image standards set by society as โnormal' - and not daring to question and realize how โnot-humanโ and harmful they can be on all of us!
***
From the bottom of my heart, I strongly believe yoga is a beautiful remedy to these oppressive standards that want to delimit how our bodies should look like. No way! Yoga can offer us the tools to revindicate and celebrate our own bodies - just the way they are! To develop a loving and nurturing relationship with it. Perceiving โimperfectionsโ as the most authentic expression of our own beauty - and regard that! Yoga will probably not change that physical aspect you might dislike about yourself - but rather - it will organically connect you with a much more fertile dimension of yours that is only within your HEART.

Yes, itโs true. In a yoga practice, we naturally soothe the nervous system, strengthen our bodies & improve balance - thatโs right - & as a side effect we also become more flexible and even prettier. But if we only focus on that - we sadly reduce the transformative power that yoga can have in our lives. And so, in a yoga practice, we learn to move from focusing on the external world, where we are bombarded with the obsession of appearance, into the immensity of our own Self - which dwells in the .

May we all be able to connect to our own body from a space of gratitude - for enabling life running through our veins!
***
to move away from a victim space
to take responsibility for the life we long to live
to own our deepest desires
to recognize mental and emotional patterns preventing that realization to happen.
that is what living a and is all about.
life is indeed a beautiful and constant , constantly shedding layers.
