EUPSA is proud to share a special moment from the WOFAPS 2025 Congress in Antalya! 🌍

Today, Professor Prem Puri, former EUPSA President, received the very first Boix Ochoa Inaugural Medal, a distinction reserved for individuals whose work has profoundly shaped the field of pediatric surgery.

Prof. Puri’s career spans more than four decades of groundbreaking clinical, academic, and scientific contributions. As one of the world’s leading experts in pediatric surgery, he has advanced the understanding and treatment of congenital anomalies — particularly Hirschsprung’s disease and vesicoureteral reflux — through pioneering research that has influenced clinical practice worldwide.

He has trained and mentored generations of pediatric surgeons, published extensively, led international societies, and tirelessly promoted innovation, collaboration, and excellence in our specialty. His vision was foundational in the growth of EUPSA, where his leadership continues to inspire our community.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Prof. Puri — a visionary, a mentor, and a true legend in our field. 👏✨
