Story behind the brand name “BAWA-G”:
The brand name is derived from one of the most peaceful ancient religion “Zoroastrianism”. Currently at a brink of extinction, this religion has less than 200,000 adherents and the population is steadily declining. Persian Zoroastrian descendants who migrated to India between the 8th and 10th century CE, are also known as Parsis. A very commonly known nickname given to a Parsi male in India is “BAWA”.
“Ji” in India means “Respect” and is therefore, added at the end of a name as an honor. We replaced the “Ji” with a “G” which still sounds similar but has a twist where the “G” in the brand name stands for “Gear”. That is how the brand was named “BAWA-G”.
