Unter dem Namen Israel Medical Association (Schweiz) besteht seit über 50 Jahren die Verbindung jüdischer Ärzte in der Schweiz. Juristisch gesehen handelt es sich dabei um eine Tochterorganisation der Israel Medical Association in Israel, praktisch ist die IMA Schweiz die eigenständige Organisation von jüdischen Ärzten und Medizinalpersonen in der Schweiz. Während vieler Jahre wurden die Aktivitäten lokal vor allem in Zürich koordiniert, die Mitglieder nahmen an Wohltätigkeitsbällen zugunsten diverser Projekte in Israel teil und besuchten regelmässig den internationalen IMA Kongress in Israel. In den letzten Jahren konzentrierten sich die Aktivitäten auf Vorträge zu jüdischen, israelischen und ethischen Themen sowie zu aktuellen medizinischen Themen, welche von Mitgliedern aus der Schweiz oder von Gästen aus Israel vorgetragen wurden. In den Jahren 2008 und 2010 engagierte sich die IMA Schweiz an den International Jewish Medical Ethics Conferences in der Schweiz, welche in Partnerschaft mit JMEC Switzerland erfolgreich durchgeführt werden konnten. IMA Schweiz ist auch stark mit weiteren jüdischen medizinischen Organisationen in der Welt verbunden. So findet ein reger Austausch mit Alpha-Omega (Zahnärzteorganisation), Hadassah- Organisation, Yad Sarah Organisation und anderen Organisationen in Israel und Europa statt. Damit sollen die Ziele von IMA Schweiz erreicht werden.
