The bacteria in our gut are essential for our mental health.

If the microbiome is not balanced and bad bacteria are taking over, it can lead to depression or anxiety.

There are many studies showing this strong link between our wellbeing and the microbiome and still most doctors do not know much about it and do hardly take into account the microbiome in their treatments.

As I suffer myself from histamin intolerance and hashimoto I learned much about the topic myself and did a lot of research.

Train your brain to feel better with the following simple excercises.

1. Write down every evening before going to bed three things that you are grateful for in your life.

2. Ask yourself in the morning, what you are looking forward to that day.

3. Do at least one nice thing for your inner child every day. That can be something simple like enjoying the sun for 5 more minutes or taking a longer lunch break, etc.

Sometimes life treats us hard and we feel lost. Especially then we get the feeling that we need to have a plan and get control back.

However, this usually doesn‘ t help at all. The more we want to change the situation and are fighting against the present moment, the harder it gets and the more we get lost and disconnected.

Even if its super hard then, try to let go and trust that it will be fine and let yourself guide. There is a plan for us out there and only god knows it. Time to leave to the beach again. Since I have been living at the sea for most of the time over the last years, I really cannot be away from it for longer times anymore. I miss the ocean, the sea breeze and the wide endless views.

The ocean is healing my mind and my body and I feel so much better at the beach. I needed some time to find out what is good for me and which surroundings are best for me to live in. It is mostly a trial or error way to find this out.

You cannot just find your happy place by sitting at home in your comfort zone and do a pros and cons list. You need to head out there, jump into the unknown and explore. I know this is scary but I promise you that it is worth it!

What is holding you back? Mostly its fears or am I wrong?

When I think about what it is that I enjoy in my life, a lot of simple things come to my mind. For example I enjoy a lot feeling the sun on my skin and lying on the beach. Also I enjoy being outside and breathing fresh air and listening to the sounds of nature.

Moreover, I enjoy being activ and move my body, running and doing sports.

All those things are for free. There are so many wonderful things that I enjoy and I do not need a single cent for that.

Society makes us belive that we need money to be happy and buy the things that give us joy. So in order to get that money we believe we have to work hard. Well do you see the manipulation?

Once you realize that the things that give you most joy are for free, you do not need so much money and can actually be free and work less.

What is it that makes you happy? Is it expensive or maybe even for free too?

Being away from the ocean for a while now in Switzerland made me realize even stronger that I need the ocean. It is not a choice just because I love the sea but I really feel like as if a part of me is dead when I am away from thr ocean. I feel less happy and less energized. It is for sure also the iodine i the air that is so good for my thyroid that makes the ocean my happy place.

Well I think I needed to return to switzerland to realize that again and to finally say goodbye.

Meditation outdoor in nature is relieving stress and can prevent burnouts and other psychological problems. I can coach you as a psychotherapist and psychologist on your mindfulness and healing journey.

I love nice views, especially somewhere near a lake or at the ocean. Somehow water attracts me and is calming me.

One of the most simple meditation exercices is to focus on your breath. Just observe your breath without changing or controling it. Whenever you are distracted, just return to your breath.

Try to do the excersice in a nice and calm place in the nature and let me know how you liked it. Listen to the sounds around you, breathe and just observe.

If you want to grow and develop yourself, you need to push yourself out of your comfort zone.

It is like with your muscles. If you want to grow more muscles you need to hurt them and push them to the limits. They can only grow if they are really challenged a lot.

Moreover, you need to change routines and give your muscles new inputs. If you always do the same workouts they will adapt and not grow as much anymore.

The same applies to your personality and your life. Try to do new things, do things differently and change your routines. This means also to overcome your fears and boundaries.

Travelling is a good way to get out of your comfortzone. Push yourself every now and then to grow and change.
