🚨🚨Children in Louisiana public K-12 schools are at risk when it comes to abuse by a school employee. Currently, school districts have policies that are not in line with mandatory reporting requirements when the abuser is a school employee.

For over a year we have informed the Louisiana Department of Education Superintendent, Dr. Cade Brumley, that the school district's policies on reporting child abuse are not correct. The current and past BESE board members have also been made aware of the incorrect reporting policies and practices. To date, the policies have not been corrected.

Despite a preponderance of evidence that mandatory reporting must be followed regardless of who the abuser is, it is the position of the State Superintendent and his executive counsel, that the districts do not have to follow mandatory reporting requirements when the abuser is a school employee.

We are asking you to please write to your representative and ask them to hold school districts accountable. Please ask legislators to ensure mandatory reporting policies are in line with state law & being followed. Please help protect our children of Louisiana by sending a quick email to your legislators.
