Bear von Bautzen is a stunning 6-7 year old long haired German Shepherd. Bear has such a luxurious coat and he can be such a sweet boy. Just call out to him and he runs up to you with a wagging tail and leans on you for petting. Bear's prior owner described him as smart, loyal, protective, good in the car and in the yard. He is looking for a home without kids, as he can have a little sensitivity to some touch. At the rescue, Bear definitely enjoys his walks and is well-mannered on leash. Although he is a heavyset boy, he enjoys long walks - even a small jog, meeting dogs well. He knows “Sit” and is very treat-motivated (give treats with an open palm). Bear is a good greeter and super-friendly with female dogs in playgroups, but has little tolerance for pushy/dominant males, and he's a no for cats. This awesome boy might be the gem you’ve been waiting for!
