Today, we join the rest of the world to observe World Cancer Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness, promoting prevention, encouraging early detection, and advocating for equitable access to cancer care.
Cancer affects individuals differently, but the fight against it requires a collective effort; from communities, health professionals, policymakers, and every one of us.

Many cancers are preventable, treatable, and even curable when detected early.
As students and future medical personnes, staying informed, supporting those affected, and spreading accurate health information are powerful steps we can take.

Let us use today to learn, share, and stand in solidarity with everyone affected by cancer.

This December, we spotlight Favour Manyo , a 3rd-year medical student, who is the first author of a meta-analysis which was recently accepted for publication in the Clinical Nutrition ESPEN journal, titled

“Arginine Therapy in Sickle Cell Disease: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis on Clinical Outcomes”

Her contribution highlights dedication, teamwork, and a passion for evidence-based medicine. Favour is also an active member of the Bible Club and is a volunteer at Knowledge Center and MASA, impacting both academics and community service 💫
