From May 29 to June 1, 2025, the second round of the National Polio Vaccination Days will be held in conjunction with the first round of the mother and child health and Nutrition action week.
Targets: 0 to 5 year-olds will receive the polio vaccine , 1 to 5 year-olds vitamin A and pregnant women will receive IPT (intermittent preventive treatment) in health facilities only.

Let's give the teams a warm welcome for the well-being of our children and protect pregnant women against malaria.

Du 29 mai au 1 juin 2025, se tiendra le deuxième tour des Journées Nationales de Vaccination contre la poliomyélite couplée au premier tour de la Semaine d'Actions de Santé et de Nutrition Infantile et Maternelle .
Les cibles : de 0 à 5 ans recevront le vaccin contre la poliomyélite , de 1 à 5 ans la vitamine A et les femmes enceintes recevront le TPI( traitement préventif intermittent) uniquement dans les formations sanitaires.

Réservons un accueil chaleureux aux équipes pour le bien-être de nos enfants et protégeons les femmes enceintes contre le paludisme.

Official visit by the Délégué Régional de la Santé Publique pour le Littoral to the Cité des Palmiers District Hospital.

Dr. NGO'O MEBE Saurel, Délégué Régional de la Santé Publique pour le Littoral paid a working visit to the Cité des Palmiers District Hospital, where he was welcomed by Dr. EFUETNKENG BECHEM, Hospital Director, and members of the constituted bodies, marking a strong commitment to Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and the right to health for all Cameroonians.

This visit is part of the reinforcement of health actions and the supervision of medical structures in the region. The Delegate visited a number of essential services, including the maternity ward, blood bank, odontostomatology, ophthalmology, laboratory, thanatopraxy and emergency services. The inspection provided an opportunity to assess progress made within the CSU and to identify persistent challenges to better patient care.
During discussions with community players and healthcare staff in the District conference room, the Delegate reaffirmed the State's commitment to strengthening the CSU, emphasizing :

Expanding access to healthcare for vulnerable populations.

Awareness-raising and enrolment for massive adherence to social protection mechanisms.
notable advances since the launch of the CSU in the Cité des Palmiers District.

To round off the visit in style, a reception in his honor was organized, testifying to the hospitality of the District of the City of Palms towards its distinguished guest.

This meeting marks an important stage in the collaboration between the regional health authorities and local structures, with a view to providing optimum care for the population.

Visite officielle du Délégué Régional de la Santé Publique pour le Littoral à l’Hôpital de District de la Cité des Palmiers

Le Dr NGO’O MEBE Saurel, Délégué Régional de la Santé Publique pour le Littoral a effectué une visite de travail à l’Hôpital de District de la Cité des Palmiers, où il a été accueilli par Dr. EFUETNKENG BECHEM, Directeur de l’Hôpital et les membres des corps constitués, marquant ainsi un engagement fort en faveur de la Couverture Santé Universelle (CSU) et du droit à la santé pour tous les Camerounais.

Cette visite s’inscrit dans le cadre du renforcement des actions sanitaires et de la supervision des structures médicales de la région. Le Délégué a parcouru plusieurs services essentiels, notamment la maternité, la banque de sang, l’odontostomatologie, l’ophtalmologie, le laboratoire, la thanatopraxie, ainsi que les urgences. Cette inspection a permis d’évaluer les progrès réalisés dans le cadre de la CSU et d’identifier les défis persistants pour une meilleure prise en charge des patients.
Lors des échanges avec les acteurs communautaires et le personnel soignant dans la salle de conférence du District, le Délégué a réaffirmé l’engagement de l’État à renforcer la CSU, en insistant sur :

L’élargissement de l’accès aux soins pour les populations vulnérables.

La sensibilisation et l'enrôlement pour une adhésion massive aux mécanismes de protection sociale.
Cette visite a également été l’occasion de rappeler les avancées notables depuis le lancement de la CSU dans le District de la Cité des Palmiers.

Pour clore cette visite en beauté, une réception en son honneur a été organisée, témoignant de l’hospitalité du District de la Cité des Palmiers envers son éminent hôte.

Cette rencontre marque une étape importante dans la collaboration entre les autorités sanitaires régionales et les structures locales, en vue d’une offre de soins optimale pour les populations.

Visite des Autorités Traditionnelles à l’Hôpital de District de la Cité des Palmiers

Une délégation composée de cea Majestés Manfred MBOCKE EYIDI Chef de BEEDI et MANDJOMBE Chef de Palmiers, des chefs de bloc, ainsi que de Madame BINDOP Esther, Présidente du Cogeh de l’aire de la Cité des Palmiers, s’est rendue ce jour à l’hôpital de district pour une visite d’évaluation et de soutien.

Accueillis par le Directeur de l'Hôpital, du Coordonnateur Médical et de la Surveillante Générale de l’établissement hospitalier, les visiteurs ont pu apprécier les récentes réalisations, notamment la nouvelle morgue opérationnelle, un projet essentiel pour améliorer les services aux populations. Les autorités traditionnelles ont chaleureusement félicité le directeur pour ces avancées, tout en prodiguant des conseils pour optimiser la prise en charge des patients.

Madame BINDOP Esther, représentant de la communauté, a souligné l’importance de la collaboration entre les acteurs traditionnels, sanitaires et communautaires pour renforcer l’accès aux soins.

La visite s’est clôturée par un cocktail offert aux gardiens de la tradition et aux personnels présents, symbolisant l’union des efforts pour le bien-être de la communauté.

Visit of the Traditional Authorities to the District Hospital of the Cité des Palmiers.

A delegation made up of cea Majestés Manfred MBOCKE EYIDI Chief of BEEDI and MANDJOMBE Chief of Palmiers, heads of block, as well as Madame BINDOP Esther, President of the Cogeh of the Cité des Palmiers area, visited the district hospital today for an evaluation and support visit.

Welcomed by the Hospital Director, the Medical Coordinator and the General Supervisor of the hospital, the visitors were able to appreciate the recent achievements, notably the new operational morgue, an essential project to improve services to the population. The traditional authorities warmly congratulated the director on these advances, while offering advice on how to optimize patient care.

Madame BINDOP Esther, representing the community, emphasized "the importance of collaboration between traditional, health and community players" to strengthen access to care.

The visit ended with a cocktail offered to the guardians of tradition and the staff present, symbolizing the union of efforts for the well-being of the community.
