INFORMATION SHEET: MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT (ACM) TRAINING
1. Objective of the training
Train professionals capable of effectively supporting the doctor in the basic administrative and medical tasks of a consulting room (preparation for the consultation, assistance with basic care, file management, patient reception, hygiene, etc.).
2. Duration: 9 months of theoretical and practical training , followed by 2 to 3 months of professional internship in a hospital or medical practice.
3. Admission requirements: Minimum school level required : BEPC / GCE O LEVEL
4. Diploma issued
• State-recognized diplomas (MINEFOP), such as:
o CQP (Professional Qualification Certificate)
o AQP (Professional Qualification Certificate)
5. Educational content / Skills
• Theory : Welcoming patients, organizing the office, managing appointments, medical records, basic medical procedures, hygiene, communication, use of IT tools.
• Practice & internship :
o Real-life scenario: taking vital signs, assisting with care (ECG, bandages, ECG, etc.), preparing equipment, directing patients, first aid.
o Internship in a clinic, hospital or medical office to strengthen skills in real conditions.
Strengths :
o State-approved managers and small groups (10 to 15 people) for individualized monitoring
o Practical teaching provided, materials partially offered
o Internships offered, supervision up to the defense in front of a jury
