*Devotional Sermon: God Designs Marriage*

*Blessed New Month of June 2025! May this month usher in fresh grace, peace, and deeper love in your home/Family.* *Amen*

As we begin this new month, we are reminded through Genesis 2:18 that “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” And again in verse 24, we see the divine design unfold: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”

Marriage is not man’s idea—it is God's. Before society, government, or even the Church existed, marriage was God's first institution, established in the Garden of Eden. It was created for companionship, support, purpose, and the reflection of God's love and unity.

💡 *Key Lessons:*
1. *Marriage Is a Divine Blueprint*
God Himself saw the need for companionship and created a partner for Adam. This tells us that God is intentional about every union, and we should seek His guidance in choosing and nurturing our spouses.

2. *Marriage Involves Leaving and Cleaving*
Leaving doesn't mean abandoning responsibility—it means a prioritization of your spouse above all other human relationships. Cleaving means holding fast—through storms, seasons, and successes.

3. *Marriage Reflects God’s Image*
When husband and wife walk in unity, love, and respect, they mirror the very nature of God—a triune unity filled with purpose and love.

4. *Parenting Flows from Marriage*
Strong families begin with strong marriages. Children thrive where there is love, stability, and godly leadership. Let us be intentional in modeling godly values for our homes. Amen
