The minister informs the public that he has made this reduction for a purpose. That of making medications for the treatment of viral hepatitis C more accessible. It calls on all stakeholders involved in the chain of care for these patients and the fight against hepatitis to facilitate access to the medication more large number of patients. In the same sense, Manaouda Malachie invites people suffering from hepatitis to contact approved centers for effective care.

However, this is also the place to note that although the cost has halved, it remains out of reach for the average Cameroonian. This price reduction momentum must continue so that the most disadvantaged groups have access to adequate treatment for hepatitis C in Cameroon. The same goes for other health products to which access remains difficult for this category of the population.
