But then why are you getting smaller?

2. Muscle and fat both weigh the same but muscle is more dense and therefore takes up much less space.

Like 1 kilogram of stone vs. 1 kilogram of feathers.
1 kilogram of stone will obviously take up a lot less space.
So as your body fat % goes down, you will look smaller and smaller.

3. And because you will be gaining muscle in different places than from where you lose fat...
Your body will also be gradually changing shape.

4. So if you are frustrated about the scale not moving...

Remember that losing fat is more important than losing weight.

If you are in a calorie deficit, eventually the rate at which you gain muscle will slow down and the fat loss will show more on the scale.
