On Aug. 4, Concare's GSP (Good Supply Practice) pharmaceutical warehouse in the comprehensive bonded zone of Beijing Daxing International Airport successfully passed final acceptance, securing the area's first GSP-compliant pharmaceutical business license.

Its GSP medical device warehouse, accepted in January and already in operation, recorded a trade volume of over 100 million yuan (US$13.91 million) by the end of July.

Part of Concare's 15,818-square-meter GSP supply chain public service platform, the warehouses feature advanced temperature- and humidity-controlled storage, automated systems, and full traceability, ensuring the safe, compliant handling of pharmaceuticals and medical devices across the Beijing-Tianjian-Hebei ( ) region. This platform will power a high-efficiency supply chain for the and industry, boosting BDAC's role as a hub for both regional and global markets.

A new 5.16-hectare park will be built in the Life and Health Community of Beijing Daxing Airport City (BDAC). It will offer green space and public facilities for nearby biotech and medical companies.

Over 200 industry leaders and officials gathered on Aug. 5 at Beijing Daxing Airport City ( ) for a forum on advancing air in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

At the forum, Zhang Hua, director of the zone’s administrative committee, said the area is building a national-level aerotropolis with a focus on international engagement, innovation, and regional integration. Air logistics is a top priority, with breakthroughs expected in express delivery, cold chain, bonded services, and supply chain finance, Zhang said.

In the first half of 2025, Beijing Daxing International Airport ( ) handled 26 million passengers and 177,000 metric tons of cargo, growing 9.3% and 14.2% year-on-year. A new 24-hour customs clearance mechanism for imported pharmaceuticals is now operational, supporting the growth of medical air logistics.

In addition, a delegation from the German Chamber of Commerce in China, including DHL, Lufthansa Cargo, and Airbus, visited BDAC’s comprehensive bonded zone and airport facilities during the forum to explore investment opportunities.

To better serve travelers and expand air connectivity, China Southern Airlines has launched a new direct route linking Aksu, in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with Beijing Daxing International Airport.

This is the first nonstop service between the two cities, operating every Wednesday and Sunday with a Boeing 737-800.
• Departs Aksu: 09:15 → Arrives in Beijing Daxing: 13:45
• Departs Beijing Daxing: 15:00 → Arrives in Aksu: 20:45

Each round-trip offers more than 350 seats and shortens travel time by nearly two hours compared to previous connecting routes.

The launch comes just in time for the peak season of Aksu’s signature fruits and farm products, providing a faster and more reliable air freight option that helps preserve freshness and reduce loss during transport.

This new connection is set to deepen ties between Xinjiang and the capital, while boosting regional logistics and economic activity.

This 3,000+ m² smart warehouse, operated by JD Logistics, manages nearly 100,000 stock keeping units (SKUs) for over 100 children's clothing brands and has slashed per-item logistics costs by 50%. A new fast-response mechanism for imported pharmaceuticals has officially launched in the comprehensive bonded zone of Beijing Daxing International Airport ( ) , with strong support from the National Institutes for Food and Drug Control, the Beijing Municipal Medical Products Administration, and Beijing Customs.

Under the new model, customs clearance filing, sampling, and inspection for imported drugs can now be completed in as little as 24 hours — cutting the previous processing time by 10-15 days. This marks a major step forward in cross-agency coordination to streamline biopharma import procedures — supporting one of the zone's key industries.

As China's only cross-provincial special customs supervision zone, the comprehensive bonded zone is leveraging its unique advantages to build a 100-billion-yuan life sciences and healthcare industry cluster integrating bonded logistics, R&D, processing, testing, and sales service.
