As the quality of the water environment gradually worsens, China has seen a rapid rise in product development, specifically household water purification systems. This has formed an evolving industry that has exponential growth potential for the water industry as a whole. In recent years, numerous magazines and websites have tried to provide various services to guide the water industry; however, the services were usually unprofessional and the information provided was scattered and not credible. With a growing global presence, there was also lack of bilingual websites for the water industry. For this purpose, Deputy Director Bai Xue Tao of the Institute for Environment Health and Related Product Safety (IEHS) of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CCDC), past Director E Xue Li of the IEHS Department of Water Quality Safety and Monitoring, past Chief Editor Bai O of the Drinking Water Network, and past Deputy Director Wang Zhan Sheng of the Environmental Engineering Department at Qing Hua University formed “China Drinking Water Specialist” (CDWS). CDWS was created to be professional, focused, credible, and reliable. CDWS has partnered with numerous governmental departments, universities, research institutions, and other water industry professionals to provide the best source of guidance and information in the water industry. Using all these resources, CDWS has integrated them into a central location to provide a platform for information and services such as the latest government policies and regulations, a global range of industry news, expert business consults, host education and training sessions, and most importantly provide impartial and objective insight into the industry. With the establishment of the CDWS data center, CDWS will regularly publish “China Water Industry Market Analysis”. Based on the needs of distributors and water companies, CDWS also launched the “iWater” Magazine for an added source of information. CDWS will be based on a Chinese website, while at the same time building a similar English site. The Water Quality Association (WQA), National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), and the Korean National Water Association have all agreed to become partners with CDWS. This partnership will provide companies looking to do business in China with the latest information on the ever-evolving market and will provide Chinese companies with new partnerships and higher growth opportunities. CDWS is a service based website and is the first of its kind in this industry. CDWS is looking to grow with the industry and become the main source for guidance and information in the water industry for all parties. The Founders of CDWS have risen to this task and vow to provide the best service possible and continue to expand on the opportunities in the water industry. Welcome to “China Drinking Water Specialist”!
