What is EMFace?

What Will Happen If Light (Lasers) Is Absorbed By Skin Tissue?

1. Photo Stimulation
Light stimulates the plant nerves (sympathetic and parasympathetic nerves), which changes the plant nerves, resulting in changes in body function and bringing cosmetic effects. Also, there is evidence that low energy density lasers accelerate wound healing.

2. PDT (Photo Dynamic)
A method by which light hits tissue and causes a chemical reaction or series of chemical reactions within the tissue leading to effective treatment or improvement of the affected area (target tissue). (For example: Photodynamic treatment of acne)
- Propionibacterium acnes (PAC) produces endogenous porphyrins in normal metabolic process. (A)

There are 4 thermal ablative lasers: 1550nm, 1970nm, 2940nm, 10600nm. Their target tissue is water.
Thermal ablation depth is related to laser wavelength, scanning frequency, water content of the tissue and energy density. The amount of thermal coagulation surrounding the thermal ablative hole is related to the pulse width (time, T). All the fractional lasers realize energy adjusting through pulse width (time, T) adjusting, so we need to be very careful to choose the pulse with.
Thermal ablation is rarely used in the treatment of large dermal lesions but it can be used in large epidermal lesions such as coffee spots. To improve skin aging and photo aging (wrinkle and skin texture improvement), we must apply large and scattered thermal ablation (minimally invasive spots) through the dermis to the tissue. If the treatment is on faces, please shot the whole face to avoid pigmented uneven skin tone after treatment.

What is 755nm & 1064nm laser hair removal ?
It is a dual wavelength laser platform that combines the fastest and most powerful 755nm Alexandrite laser with an equally powerful 1064nm Nd:YAG laser for high performance treatment capabilities in terms of speed, efficacy, ease-of-use, performance, safety and patient satisfaction.

More energy, larger spot sizes, faster repetition rates, shorter pulse durations and complete skin solutions make this machine popular and necessary for a professional clinic.

Working Theory
A dual wavelength platform emitting 755nm laser energy from an alexandrite laser and 1064nm laser energy from a Nd:YAG laser. Both wavelengths have reasonably good transmission in skin, with 1064nm being less sensitive to melanin and more sensitive to oxyhemoglobin compared to 755nm.

These wavelengths have been well studied for the removal of unwanted hair. They have also been used to treat both vascular and pigmented lesions. In addition, the Nd:YAG laser has been utilized to rejuvenate aging skin, to treat hyperhidrosis, and onychomycosis. Melanin is the primary target for hair and pigmented lesion applications while hemoglobin is the primary target for vascular applications.

Cells from both the dermal papilla area and the bulge area may generate hairs, thus in order to destroy the hair, both areas must be damaged. The theory of selective photothermolysis predicts that laser light in the wavelengths from 690nm to 1064nm can be preferentially absorbed by the pigment in the hair shaft and by pigmented cells in the dermal papilla to damage or destroy the hair. The longer millisecond pulse durations used in hair removal will allow the pigment in the hair shaft and dermal papilla to dissipate the heat so that the laser energy is able to destroy the desired target which is the hair follicle.

The selection of wavelength of the laser is determined based on skin type. Optimizing contrast between pigment in the epidermis and pigment in the hair shaft and dermal papilla is crucial when choosing the appropriate wavelength. Longer wavelength lasers such as 1064nm Nd:YAG are less absorbed by epidermal melanin, pe*****te deeper into the dermis and are therefore ideal for darker skin types. Lighter skin types with dark coarse or thinner brown hair can be effectively treated by the 755 nm Alexandrite laser which has a higher absorption by melanin.

Treatment Scope
With 755nm and 1064nm dual wavelengths as well as multiple spot sizes and variable pulse duration, it includes nearly all the treatment services for skin. 755nm Alexandrite laser is highly absorbed by melanin, it is able to treat pigment as well as unwanted hair on Fitzpatrick Skin types I-IV. The 1064nm Nd:YAG laser is less absorbed by melanin and can be effective for hair removal on all skin types, especially darker skin. The 1064nm Nd:YAG is absorbed by hemoglobin making it possible to treat facial and leg veins with less risk of PIH by using longer pulses. In addition, it has been documented that the laser can treat fine lines and wrinkles. The large range of pulses, widths and spot sizes enable fast, safe and effective hair removal in all skin colors. This is also effective in the treatment of vascular conditions such as port wine stains resistant to PDL, leg veins, benign epidermal pigmented lesions as well as the treatment of aging skin.

What is Lipo Laser ?
