Today is Awakening of Insects (惊蛰 Jingzhe), which is the 3rd solar term in the lunar
calendar. The meaning of Jingzhe is that the weather is warming up with the first thundering in spring, awakening the insects hiding under the earth in hibernation.
Eating pears around the Awakening of Insects is a widely-practiced custom in China. As the weather gets warmer and the air becomes dry, people tend to feel their mouths are parched and tongues dry, which can cause colds or coughs. A pear is sweet, juicy and cold, moistening the lungs to arrest a cough. Therefore, pears are highly recommended during the Awakening of Insects.
For the tea 🍵 , aged white tea and green tea are nice choice!

The 24 solar terms occupies an extremely important position in my country's traditional farming society. The twenty-four solar terms are connected with the stems and the eight trigrams, and have a long historical origin. The ancients explored the mysteries of the universe very early, and derived a complete and profound stargazing culture from this.
After the beginning of spring, yang qi rises and all things are born. In line with the characteristics of spring, health care requires attention to protect Yang Qi. To protect Yang Qi, it is necessary to maintain health from the aspects of diet, daily life, psychology and exercise.The black tea , dark oolongtea , aged Sheng puerh , ripe puerh , and also dark tea are suggested for you! 🍵
