Hysterectomy is the most commonly gynecologic procedure, and uterine fibroids represent the most common indication, accounting for approximately 40% of all hysterectomies performed. Laparoscopic hysterectomy has clear advantages over the traditional method where a large abdominal incision is made, such as fewer complications, less pain and scarring, shorter hospital stays and faster healing.
One of the instruments involved in this operation is the "morcellator", which is used to morcellate and remove a large uterus in smaller pieces.
To decrease the risk of disseminating malignant cells, FDA suggested laparoscopic power morcellators (LPMs) should only be used with a containment system. The containment system should be compatible with the LPM.
Kangji Medical's integrated Morcellation & Isolation System, is consisted of an electric uterine fibroid morcellator and a disposable retrieval bag.
Features:
- Morcellation in a disposable retrieval bag to prevent tissue scattering in the abdominal cavity
- Continuous and rapid cutting with high precision to reduce operation time
- High temperature autoclave resistant handle and inner core for completely sterilization
- 90° between the shaft and auxiliary hole of retrieval bag, to conveniently draw the bag mouth out of body
