From Jan. 27–28, APT Medical, in collaboration with Prof. Sevket Gorgulu, successfully conducted a series of workshops at multiple centers in Egypt, including Al Galaa Military Medical Complex, Al Assema Hospital, and Al Nass Hospital.

The program was followed by a CTO live case at Egypt Cardio Military, performed by Prof. Gorgulu. The case was completed using an APT-only PCI approach, featuring the guidewire series, ™ 2.6F microcatheter, ™ GEC, ™ balloon, and ™ Y Connector—demonstrating strong device synergy and procedural efficiency in complex CTO interventions.

Our sincere thanks to Prof. Gorgulu, General Mohamed Khedr, Dr. Amr Elhadidy, and our partner M W Medical for their continued support and close collaboration.

💡 Discover ™ Microcatheter | Techniques for Distal Cap Pe*******on

Distal cap pe*******on is one of the most challenging steps in retrograde CTO PCI, often complicated by unclear cap orientation, limited system support, and the risk of subintimal entry.

Practical retrograde techniques — including Scratch-and-Go, Carlino, dual-lumen supported puncture, and distal cap external crush — help improve crossability and procedural safety in complex distal CTO anatomy.

With balanced support, excellent trackability, and optimized lumen performance, the Elong™ Microcatheter integrates seamlessly into these strategies, enabling precise wire manipulation when it matters most.

How to Treat | Expressman™ Extension Catheter–Assisted High-Resistance RCA Lesion

In complex, high-resistance coronary lesions, device delivery can be extremely challenging due to severe calcification and vessel tortuosity.

In this case shared by Dr. Li Chen, the Expressman™ GEC played a crucial role in enhancing system support and ensuring successful stent delivery during the treatment of a diffusely calcified RCA lesion.

Extension catheters like Expressman™ enhance backup support and device deliverability, helping physicians overcome the challenges of complex and resistant lesions.

💡 Discover ™ Microcatheter | Overcoming MC Crossing Failure in Collateral Channels

Crossing collateral channels in complex CTO PCI can be challenging due to tortuous vessels, acute entry/exit angles, or limited support.

This video highlights strategies to overcome failure: microcatheter switching, optimized guide support, balloon anchoring / small-balloon dilation, combined approaches, or exploring alternative channels.

The Elong™ Microcatheter enhances every step with excellent trackability and support, high pushability, and optimized lumen design. It provides a stable platform for wire navigation and smooth contrast injection, even in difficult collaterals.
