On Dec. 8th 2015, China's first online medical center opened up in Wu zhen, Zhe Jiang. Wu zhen online medical center is initiated by the government, and operated by We Doctor Group. Doctors will practice medicine through electronic prescription, online interview and distance pharmacy.

In 2013, the soaring number of senior citizens in China has reached 200 million, which is 14.9% of the whole population. Of the aged, 37 millions are disabled.
China's Sate Council announced a decision to stimulate the consumption of the old-age care.

Chinese Medical Doctor Association recently announced the plan of creating a data pool, which would allow access to all the Chinese registered doctors' and patients' information.
The data pool is intended to help match the doctors and the patients, and to abridge the information inequality.

According to China’s thirteenth five-year plan, several suggestions are made in medical industry:

biological drugs will face new opportunity, R&D of bio-medicine will be the focus of the next five years;

Regarding to income of doctors, Chinese government that seeks to improve welfare of doctors will adjust doctors’ income to an appropriate level;

In terms of medical insurance, Chinese government will seek to cover most of residents, and reduce the premium in the next five years.

According to national health and family planning commission of China, in 2012, there are 220milion children and every thousand children only have 0.43 pediatrician. Comparing with USA’s 1.46, China is now suffering from the insufficiency of pediatrician. Moreover the number of pediatricians in China is declining over time: in 2010, pediatrician accounts for 4.8% of total number of doctors, while in 2014, it decreased to 3.9%. Analyst states that the vacancy of pediatrician now is around 100thousand. With the end of one-child policy, the insufficiency of pediatrician will be more severe.

In October 30, 2015, China government made following regulations and guidance regarding to medical industry:
Changes will be made to current medical system including medicine price, medical assurance, hospital management and food security etc.
Loosen decades-long one-child policy, allowing couples to have two children if one of them is an only child for severe aging population
Analyst states that in the next 5 years, market size of Chinese health industry will reach to 10 trillion yuan (around 1.5trillion US dollar).

In October 29th, 2015, China decided to end one-child policy and allow couples to have two children. One-child policy is introduced in 1979 when neither public and private product nor services could support its population. However, situation now is changed due to its aging population. Comes along with the new policy, the insufficiency of pediatrician in China will become more severe.

In October 26th, 2015, Forbes China released "2015 Forbes China Rich List". In this list, 14 of them are from medical industry. Specifically, Guangchang Guo, the owner of FusunPharma with ¥46.36 billion ranked 1st in medical industry and 11th in whole list.

In October 22nd 2015, China drug administration website http://www.drugadmin.com has launched. This is a national medicine trading B2B website. In the future, China very likely will demand all the public hospitals to make medicine procurement online. Currently there is a shadow market in medicine procurement of public hospital, which has caused the rise of total price of medical service.
