Using sacred plants lies in the heart of the culture for many indigenous communities in Colombia. For some cultures, God used sacred plants to create the universe. For our ancestors these plants are medicine to cure spiritual or physical pathologies, “vehicles” to travel to different dimensions, even “oracles” to communicate with the divine. The psilocybin mushrooms were also called Teonanacatl (“meat of God”) by Mazatecans in Mexico.

In our location, we receive water directly from the Moor of Sumapaz, the biggest moor in the world. This was a very important and magical place for the Muiscas, the indigenous community that used to live here. Our name was created to honor them.

Zemiscua will take place in Arbelaez, Cundinamarca, 70 km southwest of Bogotá, the capital of Colombia.

Our location is 1,500 m above sea level in a mountainous forest area, and the temperatures vary between 18-24 °C (64-75 °F).
