The first 3 things I would do as a beginner to drop body fat.

1. Keep a food diary for a week to clearly see my weekly calorie intake.
2. Start strength training (even simply doing daily body weight squats & pushups)
3. Prioritise protein & fibre intake

The audacity and blind ego of some of these “fitness coaches” it’s no wonder the industry has turned into an absolute circus full of clowns 🤡🤣

Anyway, as I’ve always said, you can eat all the foods you enjoy! Especially on holiday. Health and fitness is about flexibility and balancing a healthy lifestyle to enjoy life even more. It’s not about ego and neglecting or demonising foods. Honestly I hate calling out videos like this but I really hope the backlash helps him learn to do better.

Holidays are supposed to be enjoyed with a lot of food, drinks (including alcohol if you enjoy it) desserts and flexibility away from normal daily routines…BUT that does not mean you should use it as an excuse to turn into a gluttonous sloth 🦥

Holidays are actually the best way to learn flexibility with eating, balance with food, exercise, new experiences while navigating new surroundings and barriers. If you can find a healthy balance on holiday you can do it for life.

People will say things like “why don’t you just live a little” or “who cares you’re on holiday” and to that I say. Feeling my happiest and healthiest while still enjoying every food and drink I desire within reason allows me to “live my healthiest, strongest, happiest and best life and enjoy a holiday to the fullest.”

If a holiday to you means being hungover most days, getting unhealthily overweight and feeling like 💩 the whole time then you’re actually missing out on experiencing life to the fullest.

Anyway, here’s picture proof of all the above points made. You can enjoy all the foods you want, unwind and relax and still maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. Which also allows still feeling your absolute best everyday which is the goal whether on holidays or not.

The fried chicken with honey combo 🍗🍯 is dangerously delicious 🤤

5 ways to stay in shape on holidays ✈️🏝️

1️⃣ Just like when not on holidays eat mindfully & plan ahead when you can (I’m not saying don’t enjoy flexibility just don’t make every meal a sh*t choice.

2️⃣ Walk as much as you can, if it’s 20 minutes or less to reach your destination (and it’s safe) walk there to increase your activity levels.

3️⃣ Still prioritise protein with your meals when possible. Ask for extra meat or other protein sources if needed.

4️⃣ Continue strength training when you can. Even if it’s just regular sets of pushups and body weight squats. I’ve done these most days & you can see from the pictures I even used concrete weights when they were available.

5️⃣ Limit alcohol as much as you can (again I’m not saying don’t drink or socialise) but liquid calories add up quickly if you’re not being mindful of your consumption, not only that you save a lot of $$$ and wasted days hungover just like at home.

This year my approach is changing a little. I feel I am a little too nice and empathetic to my clients detriment and my own.

Empathy is great but not if it gets in the way of truths that need to be heard for the greater good.
