Why vaccines are important?

To help keep us safe, it is important that you and your children who can get vaccinated are fully immunized. This not only protects your family, but also helps prevent the spread of these diseases to your friends and loved ones. Immunizations can save your family time and money.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common s*xually transmitted infection (STI).

HPV vaccines can prevent some of the health effects HPV causes.

How is HPV spread?

You can get HPV by having vaginal, a**l, or oral s*x with someone who has the virus. It is most commonly spread during vaginal or a**l s*x. It also spreads through close skin-to-skin touching during s*x. A person with HPV can pass the infection to someone even when they have no signs or symptoms.

If you are s*xually active, you can get HPV, even if you have had s*x with only one person. You also can develop symptoms years after having s*x with someone who has the infection. This makes it hard to know when you first got it.

How can I avoid HPV and the health problems it can cause?
You can do several things to lower your chances of getting HPV.

Get vaccinated. The HPV vaccine is safe and effective. It can protect against diseases (including cancers) caused by HPV when given in the recommended age groups. (See “Who should get vaccinated?” below.)

Get screened for cervical cancer. Routine screening for women aged 21 to 65 years old can prevent cervical cancer.

If you are s*xually active:

Use condoms the right way every time you have s*x. This can lower your chances of getting HPV. But HPV can infect areas the condom does not cover. So, condoms may not fully protect against getting HPV; and Be in a mutually monogamous relationship – or have s*x only with someone who only has s*x with you.

Who should get the HPV vaccine?

CDC recommends HPV vaccination for:

All preteens (including boys and girls) at age 11 or 12 years (or can start at age 9 years).
Everyone through age 26 years, if not vaccinated already.
Vaccination is not recommended for everyone older than age 26 years. However, some adults age 27 through 45 years who are not already vaccinated may decide to get the HPV vaccine after speaking with their healthcare provider about their risk for new HPV infections and the possible benefits of vaccination. HPV vaccination in this age range provides less benefit. Most s*xually active adults have already been exposed to HPV, although not necessarily all of the HPV types targeted by vaccination.

At any age, having a new s*x partner is a risk factor for getting a new HPV infection. People who are already in a long-term, mutually monogamous relationship are not likely to get a new HPV infection.

Mesenchymal Cell Therapy

What is it?

Mesenchymal cell therapy is a form of regenerative medicine that utilizes the body’s natural healing mechanism to treat various conditions.

Mesenchymal cells are being used in regenerative medicine to renew and repair diseased or damaged tissues, and have shown promising results in treatments of various orthopedic conditions.

Mesenchymal cells are present in all of us, acting like a repair system for the body. However, with increased age sometimes, the necessary amount of mesenchyal cells are not present at the injured area. The goal of mesenchymal cell therapy is to amplify the natural repair system of the patient’s body by increasing the numbers of mesenchymal cells at injury sites.

Use of Mesenchymal Cells in Orthopedics

Adult mesenchymal cells can be harvested from many areas in the body. These include adipose tissue (fat), bone marrow and peripheral blood, but most are harvested from the bone marrow. These cells have the ability to turn into cells that form the musculoskeletal system such as tendons, ligaments, and articular cartilage. To obtain cells from the bone marrow, a needle is inserted into the iliac crest of the pelvic bone to extract the cells.

Currently, mesenchymal cell therapy is used to treat various degenerative conditions of the shoulder, knees, hips, and spine. Mesenchymal cells are also being used in the treatment of various soft tissue (muscle, ligaments and tendons) as well as bone-related injuries.

What are STDs?

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), also known as s*xually transmitted infections (STIs), are very common. Millions of new infections occur every year in the world.
STDs pass from one person to another through vaginal, oral, and a**l s*x.

STDs don’t always cause symptoms or may only cause mild symptoms. Therefore, it is possible to have an infection and not know it. That is why getting an STD test is important if you are having s*x. If you receive a positive STD diagnosis, know that all are treatable with medicine and some are curable entirely.
STDs are preventable. If you have s*x, know how to protect yourself and your s*x partner(s) from STDs.

Which STD Tests Should I Get?

If you are s*xually active, getting tested for STDs is one of the most important things you can do to protect your health. Make sure you have an open and honest conversation about your s*xual history and STD testing with your doctor and ask whether you should be tested for STDs.
All adults and adolescents from ages 13 to 64 should be tested at least once for HIV.
All s*xually active gay, bis*xual, and other men who have s*x with men should be tested:
At least once a year for syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea. Those who have multiple or anonymous partners should be tested more frequently (e.g., every 3 to 6 months).
Anyone who engages in s*xual behaviors that could place them at risk for infection or shares injection drug equipment should get tested for HIV at least once a year.

Write us and schedule your tests.

What is pain management?

Everyone feels some kind of pain from time to time. Pain is the most common symptom of potentially thousands of injuries, diseases, disorders and conditions you can experience in your lifetime. It can also result from treatments for conditions and diseases. Pain can last a short time and go away when you heal (acute pain). Or it can also last for months or years (chronic pain).
Pain management specialists help you control pain with medications, procedures, exercises and therapy. To reduce or relieve pain, your provider may recommend one approach or a combination of several. You may receive care in a pain clinic, provider’s office or hospital.
Depending on the cause and type of pain, it may not be possible to find total relief, and the pain may not get better right away. Your provider will work with you to adjust your pain management plan so you can feel better.
Who needs pain management?
Anyone with pain can benefit from a pain management plan. A comprehensive plan can help people manage pain that lasts a few days (such as after an injury or surgery). It can also help people who have long-term pain from disease or chronic health conditions.
Pain is the main symptom of a wide range of injuries, infections and diseases. Some of the most common conditions that cause pain include:
Arthritis and muscle and joint injuries: Several types of arthritis, including osteoarthritis and gout, cause severe pain in the joints. Orthopedic injuries (such as frozen shoulder) limit mobility and lead to pain and stiffness.
Autoimmune disorders: Lupus, Crohn’s disease and other autoimmune disorders cause your immune system to attack the body.
Back injuries: Herniated disks, sciatica and other back problems are common causes of pain and limited mobility.
Chronic pain disorders: There are several disorders that can lead to widespread pain all over your body. These include fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) and central pain syndrome.
Endometriosis: This painful condition causes the lining of the uterus to grow outside of the uterine walls. Endometriosis causes abdominal pain and irregular periods.
Facial pain: Several conditions can cause pain in your face, including trigeminal neuralgia (TN), an abscessed tooth and other dental problems.
Headaches: Migraine headaches and cluster headaches cause pain in the head and neck.

Kidney stones and urinary tract problems: Kidney stones can cause severe pain when they pass through your body with urine (p*e). Interstitial cystitis (painful bladder syndrome) causes pelvic pain and pressure.
Nerve damage (neuropathy): Damaged nerves can lead to pain, stinging and tingling. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common type of neuropathy.
