It’s a 1.5-hour session where I’ll guide you through this fun and engaging method that turns the body into a calculator, allowing students to master calculations by adding and subtracting up to 4-digit numbers through dance.

I truly hope this offering fits within the Math Minded community’s values, as it’s meant to be a creative tool for both teachers and parents looking for fresh ways to engage young minds. The mission of the Panamanian Foundation for the Promotion of Mathematics (FUNDAPROMAT) is to change the perception of the world so that each and every one of us can experience mathematics as accessible, relevant, and inherently fun.

Mathematics surrounds us and we use it daily even if we don't realize it. Knowledge of mathematics increases critical thinking and reasoning power. Thinking analytically helps us make better decisions in daily life. However, none of these benefits can be acquired if people do not give mathematics a chance and reject it, for example, due to negative experiences in the past.

Through FUNDAPROMAT's activities, we wish to share with the general public the richness and beauty of mathematics and, in turn, encourage our youth to pursue a career in mathematics.
