Dr. Eric Umaña Miranda

Dr. Eric Umaña Miranda is a general practitioner and surgeon, graduated from the University of Medical Sciences (UCIMED), with a strong focus on comprehensive and patient-centered care. His medical approach combines evidence-based knowledge with close attention to individual symptoms and concerns.

He currently serves as the Medical Director at Rush Urgent Care Clinic, where he leads a team dedicated to providing fast, professional, and compassionate care. With over 7 years of experience in general medicine, Dr. Umaña has worked in both public and private healthcare sectors, including institutions such as ASEMBIS, Laser Médica S.A., the Costa Rican Social Security System (CCSS), and major companies like Kraft Heinz, Griffith Foods, and General Cable. He has also collaborated in biomedical research with the Medical Unit of ACIB-FUNIN.

Passionate about gynecology and psychiatry, Dr. Umaña views health as a balance between body and mind. He is known for being extremely patient and dedicated, taking the time to fully address each patient’s questions and concerns—never in a rush.
